Fat Straws Boba & Mochi Donuts (Plano) — Restaurant in Plano

First time ordering from this establishment. It was super clean. They do not accept cash, card only. The place was very clean and well maintained, with a few tables to sit.

Customer service was great, they were booth kind, patient, and proficient. They had a good work flow, in handling the incoming customers. I ordered two drinks and a doughnut, and I was offered a carrier without even asking.

I ordered a regular Ube Latte without Boba $5.24, and it was well made. The taste of Ube was complimented well by a vanilla/nutty after taste. And I also ordered a regular Brown Sugar Boba milk tea, $5.74. Again this drink was beautifully made! I normally don’t eat much of the boba, but I finished the entire drink. No boba left behind; they were nice and chewy and sweet. Both drinks were amazing.

I also ordered the apple pie doughnut, and it literally melted on my taste buds. It was had a strong apple flavor, super soft and chewy dough, and every bit was met with that cream drizzle. It was perfection in a small treat, for only $2.75.

I highly do recommend this place, based upon the affordability, flavor variety, and quality! Definitely will be going back...

Went to the Plano location. Had never been to or heard of the pace. We ordered 5 different drinks with boba and were highly impressed. We absolutely loved them!! The staff was super nice as well. We don't live in Plano, so were very happy to see online that there were other locations including one on Forest Ln which is close to home. Four days later we went to the location on Forest and ordered some of the same drinks and some new ones as well. Sadly, we could not have been more disappointed with our drinks. The staff was very nice and helpful, but the drinks were very sub-par. I don't know if they're franchises with different owners, or how the two could be so different even though they have the same menu but the two locations couldn't be more far apart in taste and quality. We will never return to the Forest Ln location and unfortunately we live far from the Plano location, so we won't be stopping by...

I always get their classic milk tea (first choice) and their thai milk tea with stevia. It is seriously the best milk tea flavor I have had! I love that they have a sugar free option and I am not sure what it is about their flavoring but I honestly cannot tell that it has an artificial sweetener in it when I get this version here. They also started making these mochi donuts a few years ago and I must say they are super yummy. The “icing” on top is more like a chocolate texture and when they have special flavors you can really taste it in every bite.
