On 2/15/21 during the power outage and icy roads. I was like many others powerless and hungry with no way to make food. I had to go out and find food for everyone. Most places were powerless or closed. I headed down Old Denton towards Herbon to see if anything was still serving when I saw a strip mall with lights. Fajita Pete's was open and I pulled around the back about 8:20 at night. Walked in and I was told all they had left was meat and fajitas. I'm like, that's fine with me. Walked up to the front to make an order for chicken and beef. They were closing down and the cook was heating up the remaining food to take home. The owner walked in and asked what I needed, I told him and then I said he's going to take it home and eat it and I can come back another day. He was like no sir we can help you, he said I could have what was left for $20.00. I said okay, handed him my card and unfortunately the system was down and had to be cash. I only had $3.00. He said that's fine, took the money and handed the cook $20.00 for him for letting me take the food. I wrote down my number and name and told him I will pay jim back later. A couple of days past and I called back and he asked if I was without power that night. Like most of us I said yes. He said that the meal was on Fajita Pete's and it's a gift from us to you. Not only were the fajitas delicious! This just shows there are wonderful people out there still and not only did he take care of a customer he also takes care of his employees! I salute Fajita Pete's in Carrollton and you have a...
Read moreI catered Fajita meat, both chicken and beef, (trays) and tacos from Fajita Pete's, Carrollton location for my husbands 60th birthday party. They gave me much more food than I was expecting and everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. The pricing is excellent after seeing the amount of food they send. Aden S. (The General Manager) sent the trays of Fajita with plenty of vegetables and all the sides items to make the fajitas such as sour cream, cheese, lettuce, salsa, beans, rice, plenty of chips and delicious guacamole. The tray of taco's was stuffed with a large amount of food. I had asked for Gluten Free food to be kept in a separate tray which it was. Plus he sent me a huge stack of corn tortillas. My son pickup my order and it was hot, packed neat, very clean and was ready for pickup. Adan S. even helped me out with the chafing trays and burners, which made life easier on me. I received so many complements from my guest on how delicious and fresh everything tasted. I can't say enough about how great the food is. More importantly how nice and easy Adan and his staff made this event for me. I had about 55 people to feed and I had plenty of food. I would highly recommend the Fajita Pete's, Carrollton location. The entire staff was super friendly and helpful making my husbands' 60th birthday party a huge success. Stop by and try their food. I think you will...
Read moreFirst thing first, this has to be one of the worst overall Mexican food experiences of my life . 5 people in the kitchen, I'm the only patron with an order of just 2 tacos w/ rice and beans, and I waited FAR too long (20 minutes). The presentation of the food, as you see pictured, is horrendous, and this was taken literally seconds after it was handed to me by the manager. The beans and rice are very run-of-the-mill and the salsa that comes with the chips is terrible. Oh and don't let me forget, this is the first time in my life I've ever been served HOT salsa, as in the TEMPERATURE. It was as if they took it out of the microwave!!!
The only silver lining here is the actual beef fajita meat, and what a shame to have such quality meat paired with such sub par sides and condiments, even the tortillas, lettuce and tomato were well below average. Do yourself a favor, steer clear of here if you're looking for a meal. If you just need a good beef fajita meat to make some homemade tacos, stop in but ask for the meat ONLY. Everything else is a 100% guaranteed disappointment.
Oh, and the place is really clean. Probably because no one ever goes there. I...
