Don't bother with the Fuzzy's in Carrollton at Josey Lane and Hebron Parkway. I had a little bit of money on my way home from work this past Tuesday - 01/12/21 - and decided that I didn't want to cook. I also thought I'd patronize a smaller operator and not some big company like Taco Bell or McDonald's both of which are located across the street from the Fuzzy's in Carrollton. Well quite frankly I think I could've gotten better service and better food had I patronized either of them instead.
I arrived at 4:03pm and there was an elder woman at the register ordering which is fine. But then she has to go and have a conversation about what to order with a friend she's with at a table. She proceeds to leave the girl at the register hanging along with myself and the person behind me quietly waiting. To add insult to injury the girl at the register doesn't ask the woman to make a decision, doesn't clear the order so she can begin to take mine. No, she begins to make a drink presumably for the woman having the conversation. I mean never mind I'm patiently waiting but would like to order. Never mind the person who's in line behind me. I'm a pretty mellow guy but I even asked if I needed to go somewhere else as in another establishment or if she was interested in taking my order. She never did as they felt compelled to do a change of employee and someone else took my order.
So my order is now taken. I go to wait for my food.....and nothing. No one's in the kitchen, have to wait for someone to come over and they don't seem to be in much of a rush. My food is assembled, a brisket burrito, and I thought you at least got asked what kind of condiments you'd like in the burrito along with the meat. I get home and its since cooled off, which can be subjective as I did get take out, so I have to heat it up in the microwave and it had to have been some of the blandest brisket I've ever tasted. It's a real shame as I had a good spicy pork burrito just last month which is why I decided to come back. But I'm going to have to reconsider this Fuzzy's as I could've gotten better service and better food from the Taco Bell across the street and that's...
Read moreThe customer service was fine, except for the fact that they don't advertise their taco specials well at all and don't have the same specials as any other location.
The last time I went to this location, the pork in my tacos had the texture of beef jerky, and my shrimp tempura was WAY overcooked. This last time the pork's texture was fine, though both times they gave me about half as much meat as I'd expect going to the Frisco or Lewisville locations. It's obvious that the owner of this (independently owned I was told, after I asked why they didn't have the same Taco Special day as anyone else) franchise is all about cutting costs. There was barely any cheese, meat, or even garlic sauce in my taco but what it lacked in the good ingredients they made up for with a heap of lettuce and tomatoes. Thanks for nothing.
Say what you will about their queso, I don't think it's bad at all with the real cheese and Pico de gallo on top. This last time they completely forgot to add anything other than the melted Velveeta, so I was pretty disappointed. I don't know how you forget to top off your otherwise boring queso with the only thing that adds flavor, texture or color, but I digress.
Needless to say, the fact that I was completely unimpressed with the tacos and the fact that they don't have the wherewithal to post when their taco specials will be means that I will never, ever be visiting them again. Fool me...
Read moreWent to take my dad for a quick lunch, everything from service to the tasty food was great! Wanted to highlight Luis, I think he’s a manager. A disgruntled guest (person who interrupted another person while they were ordering) was upset that he was charged $1 for an additional salad dressing? And decided he was going to be verbally abusive to the kitchen staff when it’s out of their hands just doing their jobs. Then decided to take it out on Luis who was at the register at the time publicly berating him about the dang dressing and how expensive his salad was when at the place down the street (salad and go) just give it to you. Luis kept his composure very politely telling the man that he would go and speak with him in a second that he would help him out. Really appreciated that he went and checked on his employees to make sure that they were okay Before he went and spoke with the man. Still, the man was telling him how dare the company over him try to charge for a salad dressing when it’s so expensive, Luis calmly explaining how other establishments may also charge for dressings they may just not advertise it on the receipt Or they may charge for other items that they particularly don’t. Ever the case, Luis presented an upstanding amount of composure And customer service to someone who really did...
