New concept to Dallas! Cute cozy all-you-can-eat Ttopokki restaurant.
$15 for lunch and $20 for dinner. Have soju and soft drinks at additional price.
There is a party room that would fit like 12-15 people.
It’s my first time cooking my own Ttopokki (if I don’t count those instant one from Asian store lol).
The experience is like hotpot. I customized my own flavor at seasoning bar. And I grabbed my own rice cake, noodles, meatballs, veggies, and side dish.
There are several options from rice cakes: cheese filling, original, wheat, and yam.
Protein options are fish balls, sausage, mussels, and shrimp.
Noodles options are ramyan, udon, glass noodles, and ramen.
Side dishes options are kimbab, French fries , tempura veggies, fried seaweed roll, and tempura chicken.
They also have fish cake skewers and soup.
Did I mention that you can make your own ramyan too?
After I finished with my hotpot, server recommended us to make fried rice in the pot. So, I grab the fresh steamed rice provided in the community rice cooker. Then, I went to the buffet bar and grab some seasoning garlic, kimchi, oshinko pickles, and seaweed to mix with the left over sauce in my pot. It was super tasty!!
I would definitely come back with my family. Highly recommend!
P.S. Recommend Seasoning recipe: 2 scoops of soy sauce, 1 scoop of curry, and 2 scoops of...
Read moreWent to this new ttubboki restaurant in Carrollton. I’m glad someone explained how everything worked because it can be a little overwhelming. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They had different kinds and sizes of ttuk if you have a preference. Lots of different rice cakes and sausage to add. They have ramen noodles and even wide glass noodles (we added both). They also had meats and seafood, but we opted not to try those this time around. Be careful about getting g too many things to add because you will realize it’s way too much stuff to finish possibly. And because this is an all you can eat, they will charge you for excess waste. What we didn’t know was at the end of the meal, they will make you a kimchi fried rice with the remaining sauce! We weren’t told this when we sat down and were way too full to have her make us some.
This place is a great spot with your friends and have a few bottles of soju while making your own personal ttubboki. The table cooker is really a unique range cooker I’ve never seen before.
Give this place a try next time you crave some...
Read moreBeen wanting to go here since it opened up, ever since my trip to Korea where they have this kind of style of ayce ttopokki.
I like the wide selection of rice cakes they have available, especially the sweet potato ones, and the build your own flavor powder was unique. There's a good selection of appetizers to keep you eating and to help cancel out all the carbs you consume from just rice cakes.
I went here over the weekend, so it's all day dinner price of $20 per person. I like all the fish balls and fish cakes and really makes a complete meal.
Oh yeah, they also have a mini ramen library which comes included so we can enjoy all the shin ramen while we are here.
Place is a bit small, but the servers do a good job here. Would like to...
