Red Straw Tea Bar is an absolute gem! Despite the long lines, the staff handles everything super quickly and efficiently, ensuring you get your order in no time. Even when it gets a little crowded, the speed and professionalism of the team make the experience smooth and enjoyable. Their customer service is friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome the moment you walk in.
Now, let’s talk about the drinks and desserts—absolutely amazing! The Mango Bingsoo is a must-try; it was perfectly sweet, refreshing, and the mango was soft and fresh, not hard or frozen like in some other places. It had the perfect balance of flavors and textures, making it a staple for anyone visiting. The Strawberry Matcha was also spot on—the matcha was rich and earthy, balanced beautifully with the sweetness of the strawberries. Every sip was delightful!
Aside from the great food and drinks, the cleanliness of the place stood out. Despite how busy it gets, the staff keeps everything spotless, from the tables to the preparation area. It’s clear they take pride in maintaining a welcoming and hygienic environment.
Overall, Red Straw Tea Bar exceeded my expectations. The fast and efficient service, incredible drinks and desserts, and clean, well-maintained space make this a five-star spot. Whether you’re a boba lover or looking for a delicious treat, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be coming back for sure and highly recommend it to anyone...
Read moreThe drinks at Red Straw were fine—nothing mind-blowing, but they get the job done. That said, the overall experience was kind of a mixed bag.
First off, the menu font is tiny, and it’s posted way too far from the register. You basically have to squint across the room or awkwardly step out of line to see what you’re ordering. Not a great setup.
The feng shui felt off, like the space wasn’t quite sure what it wanted to be. And not gonna lie—you can smell the bathroom from the boba pickup counter, which takes some of the joy out of waiting for your drink.
Also, the fact that they have servers in what’s usually a fast-casual setup just adds to the confusion. Are we dining in or grabbing and going? The place can’t seem to decide.
Lastly, it felt a little identity-confused seeing mostly Thai tea being served in what’s clearly a Taiwanese-inspired boba shop. Not necessarily bad, just… unexpected.
All that said, the boba itself was decent enough to merit a middle-of-the-road rating. But with a few layout and service changes, this place could easily bump itself up a...
Read moreI don't normally leave reviews for boba shops (not even for the one I used to work at!) - because I think most boba chains are interchangeable. However, Redstraws is a unique boba chain and impressed me with their customer service and variety of boba tea flavors and products such as their bingsoos and custom teas.
The cashier was very helpful (I don't remember her name, but she had glasses and mentioned she preferred sour drinks like Passionfruit Jasmine) and didn't seem irritated that I was asking sooooo many questions!
My friend tried their Thai Tea and I felt adventurous and tried their French Daisy, which is Jasmine green tea with butterfly pea with half the sweetness, with the cashier's advice.
Everything tastes fresh at Redstraws, from the tea to their boba. I highly recommend this place for boba enthusiasts who enjoy "basic" drinks (regular milk tea/passionfruit green tea I'm looking at ya'll!...and I am ya'll lol), and for those who enjoy unique choices every once in a while. I am planning on coming back to try their custom teas...
