The Lazy Donkey — Restaurant in Carrollton

Like so many of the recent reciews.. i unfortunately had a terrible experince and will never be back... Rude! Horrible service... no customer service skills.. placed an order for pick up and the order looked like a hot mess. I ordered nachos with no meat and no beans with extra tomatoes and sour cream. I got a dish of soggy chips with only cheese - nothing else. Tiny container of tomatoes and sour cream on the side. Then I asked for a large salsa. They gave me a tiny container. I said can we please fix this. And i repeated what I wanted and the big guy at the counter (who appeares to be maybe a manager or owner) with a very cocky smart attitude said that's what it is. I said where's the tomatoes and sour cream on the nachos and lettuce? Not willing to be helpful. He said we will have to charge more. I said I don't mind as long as my orders right. Nope wasn't going or trying to help. So eventually I said can I just have my money back and very rudely he said yes that would be the best ever. Really? Over some lettuce and tomatoes but okay. Needless to say I should have went to la salsa to begin with. Better food and service! And I saved 5 dollars in the end... ...

Lazy Donkey review I should've went home and ate a bowl of cereal. My first dish was just plain NASTY! I ordered chili relleno and it tasted like flour. The cheese did not run and it did not look or smell like cheese. It was grainy. I sent it back. My second dish was full of hard gristles. No meat to speak of. It looked like dog food. And the side dishes were not what I ordered. I sent that one back and ordered the dish that the server recommended. Now the manager comes to the table and asks how we're doing. I started telling him about the food that I sent back and he interrupts me to say that if I get another dish, I have to pay for it whether I like it or not. I said it should be free for the troubles that I've gone through. He just looked at me like he didn't understand what I said but I'm sure he did. Next the manager asked me if I'm sure I want another order. I tell him yes. By the time the third dish got to the table it really didn't matter what it tasted like because I was not even in the mood to eat anymore. I was so done with that place. I will never go to this...

We've given them quite a few chances within the past few months to step it up and it just hasn't happened. This was the place to go when I was a teenager and from what I've heard, management has changed over the years. They've certainly made a turn for the worst. It was a beautiful evening with a nice breeze and we requested to sit on the patio. They stated it was closed for the evening but couldn't give a reason as to why. We proceed to our seating cramped in a corner. Waitress was nice but quite flustered. She kept forgetting requests as well as who ordered what. My order was completely wrong. Chips are horrible and stale. Thankfully we were joined by some good friends which happened to be the highlight of our evening. Upon leaving, what would you know...the patio is full of guests enjoying their dinner. And why were we not allowed to eat out there again? Don't get me started on the "dirty donkey." There are way too many Mexican resturaunts to continue wasting hard...
