New China — Restaurant in Carrollton

Me and my husband went during lunch and we were supposed to be charged 8.42 each for our meal but the cashier charged us 12.78 for mine and 10.28 for his it was over 28.00 when I asked why she said oh you got egg rolls exp we didn’t want egg rolls and we were not asked if we wanted them. So she just took it upon herself to charge us extra 4.00 hoping we didn’t notice because I had to ask for an itemized receipt once they told me total. They are over charging customers and not giving receipts so they don’t notice. When I disputed the charge she gave me back 4.35 but said she had to charge me 2.00 extra because I got noodles instead of rice which she didn’t tell me this when I ordered and doesn’t say this on the menu. Then the food was way too greasy and rice not cooked and was hard and broccoli also. If you go to this place buyer beware they are over charging people and no telling how many times a day this happens and how much has gone in...

I went a couple of weeks ago to continue my tradition of occasional Chinese food on a Saturday night. The owner actually smiled at me and said "hello" when she was done laughing and telling a funny story with her employee. The atmosphere was immediately friendly and warm. The other customers were friendly and engaging even. I got General Tso's, which admittedly had a strange extra sweetness to it (like a powdered sugar taste) I could not figure out. But, it did have the actual spicy kick to it that it's supposed to have that most other places have taken out. The rice was not the best; slightly mushy and not fluffy. But the food was still perfectly good. The friendliness makes up for a multitude of minor food issues that may have been a one-off; we'll see. oh...and I also liked the fact that there was traditional Chinese music playing. I look forward...

The bigger🐍🐃 Chinese woman may be the owner, was very standoffish rude toward my son, and myself very argumentative when it came to ordering food, and eating inside. When you spend "$40.00" dollars to eat, it conducting business transaction for your customers to feel comfortable, welcomed, courtesy is part of the job, and would she of treated her own people this way? NO! I moved to the area on 08-29-2021, didn't know the area, this food place is next to the post office, and this why we went there because of the post office that we was at every day, and now because of rudeness we don't spend our money there anymore. The food is🥘 good, just person attitude, cause me not to go there any longer! Shame on...
