We have been to Bully's many times over the past decade and the trend seems to be very slow service. We stopped for lunch on Saturday 07/23/22. We sat down at a table to the left of the bar and waited, and waited, for about 15 minutes until we figured out that the tables on the other side of the bar were getting some attention. So we moved over there only to end up waiting once more. From there on the wait times were clearly evident between each step of our visit. We waited for a drink that we could see sitting at the bar while our server passed it by doing other things. The drink finally made it and then we waited again to order. We finally got to order and then waited for the food (to be expected). We waited for a bill, then waited some more to get it paid. The people sitting at the next table were trying to pay their bill as well and finally walked up to a person behind the counter to the right of the bar and were able to get the billed paid. We followed their lead and did the same. I need to mention that when we entered, nobody spoke to us even to say they would get to us a soon as possible or something that let us know that we were seen coming in.
I have read the reviews before submitting this one and it is clear that the reason for the delays are blamed on staff shortages. That may be the current situation, but poor service and delays seems to span may years prior to this one based on the reviews. Staff shortages I understand, but simply ignoring customers, is not something that can be attributed to staffing. It does not take much effort to speak to a customer upon entering.
As I stated we have been to Bully's many times and have seen the degradation of service and communication. I don't think talking to the owner, as has been suggested in other responses to reviews, will solve the problem. I would think that the owner would have tried something different by now.
We will...
Read moreI used to enjoy ordering a good French Dip from Bully’s. I gave it a shot three times, but that third time was enough to make me stop ordering—it just felt too risky after that. This was all through DoorDash, of course, where you basically have to accept that close to 50% of what you’re paying is going to tips and fees. Definitely not what I’d call affordable.
Anyway, the final straw was the third order. I specifically asked for no cheese, and they sent me a French Dip slathered in it. That made the whole sandwich 100% inedible for me. Total waste of money—especially with that 50% markup. When the kitchen doesn’t bother to take online orders seriously, don't confirm if they're properly filled, it doesn’t exactly inspire customer loyalty.
Maybe some folks don’t mind, especially if they’re not too picky or don’t have to think twice about what they’re spending. But I do.
That said, when they did get the order right, it was honestly one of the better French Dips you could...
Read moreWalk in and sit at the bar and no one will help you. Took over 10 minutes before I could get someone's attention. One lady working the bar just walked around and then sat at a table folding napkins looking miserable like she didnt want to even work. Many customers there on a Monday night watching football waiting to be served. All I needed to do was pick up an order and I was told "The system is down". After they "Reset" the system my order was then put in the system. About 40 after I was originally supposed to have my food it came. Order was placed at 7:15pm and supposed to be ready at 7:45pm. and I didnt get it until 8:29pm. 1st time there and probably last. The other employees who did help me was nice and running around doing everything by herself while the other employee just walked behind the bar a few times, sat at a table like she didnt know what she was doing. Decent looking inside but need better...
