M & M Soul Food — Restaurant in Carson

I gave it a one store because I was told the food would be ready 10 or 15 minutes which was true. I bought meatloaf it was burnt up I don't believe that it's ground beef I gave it to the dogs and the cats to eat. The yams with watered down. The collard greens was from a bag of stems that comes from the grocery market. The cornbread was burned. Decide order of a small container of rice was very small. And I told the young lady that was sitting at the front desk taking phone orders to please put my gravy in a container on the side. When I got home and opened up my bag the gravy was wasted completely all over the bag it was a pure mess. No I will never go back there and no I will never recommend anyone else to go there. The two young ladies that worked in the front had braids hanging all the way down past their knees with no hair nets on. Their fingernails were super long, I very seldom eat at a soul food restaurant and this is some of the reasons why. I'm African-American and I was raised on soul food but I only cook it at my house very very seldom. I mainly eat Mediterranean food, they're cooking hot jeans and customer service are totally different and the restaurant workers cannot look unsanitary when serving food they do not allow this. It is sad that most soul food restaurants the people who work there and the people who serve food have the worst hygiene I've ever seen when serving food in any restaurant your hair should be covered you should wear gloves when you're serving food your fingernails should not be super super long it's just a shame that I cannot say anything nice about this restaurant except the food was on time to be picked up as I waited. Their customer service skills was not so bad even though when I got ready to leave the young lady that was giving me my dinner to go did not know that I said put the gravy on the side. So the young lady who took my order at the cash register told her in front of me that she did tell them to put it on the side. And yet there is no perfect restaurants, there are no perfect waiters or cooks, or managers whatsoever. Pls KNow if I could leave no stars at all whatsoever, that would be my rating below tolerance level so disrespectful. No acknowledgment or recognition for the fact that I am patronizing their business coming to their location. When I could have went somewhere else? Of course, there are so many different eatery places with so much. You know, like better prices. Their energy is better. Positive environments like encouraging like you know, quality food preparations of the food and also like just making you feel like you. You are welcomed as a person who's patronizing their business. They appreciate you and your value. As a customer not at this place whatsoever, all the people are strange very weird and the city alone. Let alone at this restaurant. I am over it, the food was disgusting. They may not have changed that oil and forever. So I'm guessing they're frying their pork chops. They're chicken and they're fish in the same oil. I have food sensitivities and allergies. So therefore, this was awful. The food looks ridiculous. I was given my order without any utensils and napkins. It was just a plastic bag and the container. Like bye that's all and I actually tipped. And I'm still not even giving consideration when I go back inside to ask for utensils, I'm just like directed to where they are like he points like go there and I'm like Dang really? I wish I could take my tip back and everything. This is horrible when I initially walked inside of the restaurant, the owner she gives me this nasty side eye and ignores me completely. I cannot right now and I'm not even looking like up to par. I didn't go get dressed app just to go pick up but to go order so I just came from the gym, I'm looking pretty, you know, regular self or whatever and she's going? Shes Shows me hater 😔 Behaviors.. The food is plentiful. Very nice size portions. Next day, leftovers and then some. 😋 Not too salty. Not too sweet. Has pleasant flavors to everything I've eaten... Let's get into it....No judgment now... 😊 Turkey wings, turkey chops, ox tails, fried chicken wings, pork chops, green, rice and beans, Mac n cheese, YAMS, rice and gravy. I'm very happy with the food. Remind me of being in the South again. They come close to my mother's cooking and my cooking. Especially when I don't feel like cooking...

Updated Review... Unfortunately I have ordered a few times before amending this Review. I have a change of heart. I've gotten old chicken. Cold chicken, undercooked, recooked chicken, and fresh mixed with old food. Oxtaild was old mixed with new gravy. I know what refrigerator food taste like. After eating there lately it has been a disaster 😫 😩 😕 🙃 😪. Ive gotten sick 3 times. And, now I know I will NEVER eat there again. I know im just one person but, my family and I have been eating there for years. Even at the old M and M's. I took the food back only once. But, they didnt want to refund me. M and M... We the customer expect you to give us food that you will eat too. Not thrown away. The dark skinned waiter. Have an attitude for no reason. All the time. I know we all have issues in our life. But, Ms. Lady... get it together. Give God your heart and stop acting like you hate your job. You chose to wait on ppl.
