Thai Original BBQ — Restaurant in Carson

I wish someone had written an honest review before I ordered... a review that would have explained that this place doesnt make regular thai fried rice. I love thai food. But normal thai food... like the kind you get at pretty much any thai restaurant...Whatever they gave me here just wasnt it. I ordered the barbeque chicken and shrimp fried rice. The portions were pretty good, but the rice tasted like Spanish rice and the chicken was really bland. I'm not a picky person, so I gave it 3 stars because it wasnt disgusting... it just wasnt good. The sweet n sour sauce helped. I poured it over the rice and dipped the chicken in it, and that definitely made it better. But the sweet and sour sauce is a tad bit spicy... I love spicy food, but I was feeding toddlers and they are more sensitive so I couldnt add the flavor that was so very needed to make this meal better. My kids are still young enough to get excited everytime they get food delivered so the fact that I had to force them to eat because the food really wasnt that good, says a lot to me. If you order from here, get something other than the bbq chicken and shrimp "fried rice". I wish you better luck than I had. I'm not trynna hate. I only wrote this because I wish someone had left a similar review before I wasted my money and ordered what I thought would be normal thai food. I do hope they were just having a cook day?...

Go for the food amd fast friendly service. My food was interesting. Cooked well. But the way or type of fried rice i has easnt what I expected. It tasted fine so no complaints. Between this place and a couple Thai Bbq like Venice area or even the long beach location... I believe need a slight over haul.

If you have a fish tank keep it clean. Judging by the care of the tank you can judge the care of the rest of the facility. Its that simple. Simple maintenance can do wonders to a place over time.

Ceiling has dust and many cob webs. Dusty or dirty fixtures and photos. As well as heavily worn paint and tables. All these little things can be cleaned up or fixed and make a place look so much appealing ie Tidy.

I'm a Carson resident and been going here for years and never had an issue calling ahead and ordering for takeout until tonight. Just got out of work at 7pm and wanted to call ahead to order take out and nobody answered the phone. Called maybe 5-10 times still no answer. Assuming they were closed since it was Veterans day, but I drove to rhe restaurant and they were open! I went inside and complained and all the guy had to say was he was the only one working both rooms. Sounded ridiculous as both rooms weren't even packed. I counted maybe 3-4 families in the entire restaurant. This guy could have picked up the phone and had been done with the phone call order in 3 mins or less as my order wasn't complicated at all. I probably won't be ordering here any time soon...
