UPDATE: These folks have gotten much better and much more consistent all around. I never have any problems any longer when going there.
From the get-go my experiences at this place have always feel like they staff are just learning, at least at the register. This, in turn, leaves you with a kind of insecure feeling about the preparation of your food.
It's been awhile, but I went today, and it's the same as it ever was. I travel all over the metro Atlanta area, and have gone to JJ's everywhere. None are even nearly as weak as this place has always been. Makes you wonder why this particular place can't seem to line up with the quick, sharp staffs at all the other JJ's? Don't know, except for what I call "The Cartersville Factor." It's a bummer that the worst JJ's I go to has to be in the town where I live. Hence, I don't go much.
Just to further update -- honestly, I'd rather praise than complain, but getting sandwiches from here about once a week, I'd say close to half of my orders have the wrong things on them. Once, they had completely switched the toppings on my wife's and my sandwiches, with some pretty nasty things ending up on a tuna sub. How do you do that? As I said in my earlier post, I've never run into these issues at any other JJ's anywhere in the metro ATL area. Read moreI placed an order and never received it. I called to check on my order once it said it was out for delivery and 20 minutes later still did not see it and the manger was somewhat rude. So after an 1hour and 45 minutes I called to cancel the order since I never got delivery. Well that’s when I find out it was delivered to the wrong address. The manger thought I was lying(and later when I spoke to the Owner, she confirmed that is what they thought.) The app never showed delivered and the manager and the store owner said that they are not responsible for what the app says. Well the wild part is after the store owner calls me she says that with all the circumstances she would go to the store and make it right and deliver it herself. My husband went to wait on her outside so she would not have to be in the rain and catches the RESTURANT OWNER coming from the wrong address and getting the food that was left on their porch at this point for over 2 hours and trying to deliver it to us. That food had been unintended for awhile and anything could have happen to it and tried to deliver that to us but was startled when she saw him standing there. Read moreI despise writing negative reviews - it takes a lot for me to feel the need to tell a negative experience. But unfortunately, I found a bug in my Italian Unwich yesterday. It was tucked inside the lettuce wrap portion. Thankfully I had only taken 3 bites. Needless to say I threw the rest away. So I'm just here to say to check your lettuce before you take a bite. I will say that when I called this location to report this, the service was great (which is why I rated 2 stars instead of 1). Brayden was very professional/kind and explained that the lettuce is thoroughly washed but that sometimes bugs do slip through. I didn't even tell him it was in the lettuce - he already knew. He gave me $11.50 in credit for my next order... which honestly I don't know that I'll be back unless I know for sure they make every effort to make sure my sandwich is bug free.
