Steve's Pizza & Hot Subs — Restaurant in Carthage

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Steve's Famous Pizza and Hot Subs in Carthage, North Carolina, and it was an incredible experience! The restaurant's own parking lot made it convenient, and the attractive and clean ambiance added to the enjoyment.

Their diverse menu offers pizzas, subs, sandwiches, fried chicken, chicken wings, and don't miss out on their secret gem - the in-house made pot stickers and crab rangoons! The variety of made-in-house choices impressed me.

I tried their pizza, and the wonderfully chewy dough made it a delightful treat. Today, I had the teriyaki fried rice beef combination, which surpassed my expectations, even compared to other places I've tried it before. If only I lived closer, I'd frequent this restaurant more often.

The staff were all friendly, helpful, and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The use of high-quality ingredients and the family-run atmosphere added a personal touch to the restaurant.

I'm very disappointed and displeased with how my order went..... I came in at 649pm and placed my order with a very sweet cashier, I waited to receive my food, other customers had come in and place there orders and sat down and got there food way before I did... I waited alittle more then went to the counter and asked where was my Togo order because it's almost 7:30pm and I placed my order at 6:49 pm.. the other customer that came in behind my was already eating there food before I even got my Togo order, 2 other cashiers that had been working there for years came in to work, the cashier that took my order early went and talk to her and told her my situation, she said that's unacceptable that she's been waiting this long... she gave me and refund and I got my Togo free... but I want to say this if it would have not been for the cashier that came in later in the shift to correct the issue at hand my family probably wouldn't come back and eat here... but because she corrected my issue and spoke with me personally I will give them...

If you’re lookin for the best sub you’ve ever had in your life, this is the place to go. I’ve been to quite a few sub joints and this tops them all! I really wasn’t expecting their Philly cheesesteak to be better than Hwy 55’s, but it was a no contest. I ended up having to take the other half of it home because the large combo is a more than decent serving. I would suggest putting their special sauce on your sub and their yum yum sauce on your fries. The special sauce kind of has a light horse radish taste and their yum yum sauce is like ketchup with a kick. I haven’t had their pizza yet, but I’ve heard it’s definitely worth it. The place seems personally owned and it’s a nice little place to sit down and have a meal with a friend. A cool thing to note is the fact that they offer a discount to anyone who works for the state!
