The location is clean and bright, the staff is attentive and polite, and the food comes out quickly and seems fresh.
My family and I went there as a random stop after visiting H Mart. My mom got eh Seoul (pretty close to a bibimbap bowl), my brother got the chicken katsu bowl, and I got the Bul chicken sandwich and tried an order of hangover fries. The food was good. The product was fresh. The chicken was crispy, the slaw crisp/crunchy, and there was a good level of spice to it.
The only weaker point, which is why I didn't give food a perfect, was the fries. They weren't bad, but they didn't feel cohesive. The individual components did not feel as though all the flavors and textures melded into one dish. It was more like 4 different products on top of fries. Each component was fine on its own; it just didn't make sense as a singular menu item.
The thing that was most pleasant about our stop was the staff. Particularly the guy up front on the line. He was very friendly, helpful, proactive, and exceedingly polite. He made sure to check on how we enjoyed everything and was quick to offer service or help if it didn't seem right. I really appreciated his efforts.
Overall we enjoyed this visit and my mom even thought it would be great if she could open one up in Lynchburg, VA (where we drove from to visit the nearby H Mart). That sounds like a positive...
Read moreI had ordered Bulbox last week and even though they forgot my sauce, it was super fresh and delicious, so I wanted to give them another try. I just ordered the Tokyo Box and while they remembered my sauce, this bowl seems like it had been sitting out all day. I did Doordash so I know it does take some time to get to my apartment, but I live right down the street and it was fredh previously. The rice is super hard and inedible, almost crispy. The curry potatoes are rock hard and super gross. Tried to call them to see if they would hopefully make this right, and it seems like the number they have listed on Google and on doordash is disconnected. This is a huge disappointment and I won't be wasting my money...
Read moreThe food is good quality and fresh. My only problem with this place is that they don't give, or have, spoons. They give forks and chopsticks but not spoons. How do you eat rice and bits of corn without spoons?
The people don't give much vegetables or meat either. I asked for bok choy and they gave me 2 pieces. They fill their bowls up with so much of the carb base so theres no other room to give other add-ins. For the scallions they barely sprinkle any on.
For people with peanut allergies, they should put their peanut sauces and peanut chunk add-ins in a different area, or cover it, to avoid cross-contamination. But it's so close to...
