Clarifying my experience with Raj Jewelers
This response from Sarika Bansal on my initial review really reflects the kind of experience we had as customers. Sarika, you yourself mentioned that you didn’t want our business. Well, good riddance.
Regarding the sweet box, it was really petty of you to bring that up. We only accepted it out of politeness after your husband apologized.
As for your claim about the gold pricing and us paying less than $166 per gram, I want to be clear. I never claimed we paid that amount.
Also, Sarika was the one misbehaving and I told my husband to let her have last word as I wanted to finish this transaction and get out of there.
I want to reiterate at no point we were causing any discomfort to anyone it was very uncomfortable situation and we’re still dealing with this.
It is unfortunate that instead of addressing customer concerns respectfully, the focus has shifted to personal remarks. After reading through other reviews, it is clear this is not an isolated experience. Many customers have shared similar concerns about pricing and behavior. I hope this feedback encourages more transparency and professionalism in the future.
Extremely Unpleasant Experience at Raj Jewelers (Morrisville, NC)
We visited Raj Jewelers in Morrisville for Dhanteras gold shopping and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. We went in around 1 p.m. (they open at 10 a.m.) and were in and out within 30 minutes, so it was surprising how quickly things went downhill.
We were simply buying a pair of earrings and respectfully trying to negotiate because they were charging $166 per gram plus taxes and tariff, which seemed high compared to other jewelers on Dhanteras. We were talking with Naresh, who I believe is one of the owners. During the discussion, he raised his voice, which felt unnecessary, though he later realized his mistake and apologized once the transaction was done.
However, Sarika Bansal suddenly entered the conversation even though she hadn’t been involved earlier, and her behavior was shockingly unprofessional. She raised her voice, argued with my husband, and repeatedly mentioned that they were “stressed.” It was uncomfortable and confusing since our conversation had been calm and civil up to that point. She never apologized or tried to de-escalate — instead, she made the whole situation worse.
By the time the purchase was completed, the mood was completely ruined. What should’ve been a happy, auspicious shopping experience turned into one filled with negativity. For a jewelry store that deals with customers making emotional and celebratory purchases, this kind of attitude is unacceptable.
I will not be returning, and I do not recommend Raj Jewelers to anyone who values professionalism...

Read moreI had a terrible experience with this store. Before I start to store, I called and explained that it was a 3-hour one-way drive for me, and I would be arriving close to closing time. I asked if it was okay to come at that time, and I also mentioned that we were interested in buying rings. They assured me it was fine. However, once I arrived and started speaking with the sales representative, she began showing us rings, but then they started packing everything, including the rings she was showing me, right in front of me. I reminded them that I had called in advance, and they had said it would be fine. After driving 3 hours, I arrived, only to find them packing up 30 minutes before closing time. I noticed an Indian man in a suit standing nearby, watching us, and I told him that I had called ahead, but he didn't respond—he just stood there, looking stiff and unapproachable, I am not sure what he is trying to convey. If they didn't want us to visit the store, they should have told me during the call. It was a complete waste of my time, as I ended up driving 6 hours...
