Carriage House Coffee — Restaurant in Cary

Terrible experience. I was so excited to try their coffee since I’ve been to Fenton multiple times but usually the line is long. To start, it wasn’t even busy. They just handed 2 people their coffees when I arrived at the window. They ignored me standing at the window for 10 minutes even though they didn’t have any more orders to make at the moment. Didn’t even greet me or smile. The girl finally said hi and I ordered 2 drinks. We literally discussed what kind of espresso I wanted with almond milk and a flavor syrup. Well she handed me only 1 drink. I stood there for 15 more mins being patient while other people arrived at the window, received their drinks and left. I finally went back up and asked where the 2nd drink is…she had no idea what I was even talking about even though she had a conversation with me about what I should order. I witnessed the worker being attentive and extremely kind to multiple people and not to me. Very strange..They also expect you to tip them on the TERRIBLE service. Also, the drinks were absolutely FLAVORLESS even though I paid extra for flavor syrups?? I’ve had better tasting coffee at McDonald’s.

Last but not least, they had the bare minimum of bakery items left even though they just opened 1...

truly disappointed that i tried to get a 12oz caramel macchiato this morning and the coffee attendant told me there was no way to charge for that when i always get that size and coffee bc it’s their menu item. instead told me I had to pay for a 16oz and get the 12oz size for the 16oz price. (make that make sense) this coffee cart is quickly going downhill as every new person i see work the coffee either does not know how to make drinks, or gives me information as I have received this morning. My friend and I came up to the counter at 7:45 PM and the girl who was working this evening, Monday December 2, already started cleaning the coffee machine(they close at 8), and said we couldn’t order any hot drink. And we really wanted to get some hot chocolate for the atmospheric evening near the ice rink. And then she was still hanging around until 8:30 PM and telling everybody else who was coming after us that it’s closed. Disappointed about that and ruined our evening...
