This is going to be a long message but AVOID this store at ALL COSTS. Drive to south point in Durham if you need to go to Williams-Sonoma. Itâs worth it for soooo many reasons. The assistant manager of this store, Gaby Mojica, is the absolute worst manager Iâve dealt with ever, in any industry. So it began when she told my girlfriend that we would have 30 days to return a $350 coffee maker if we didnât like it, with the receipt of course. Well 9 days later, after using it once, we went back to return it and Gaby refused to accept the return and she called my girlfriend a liar and said she never said that (that we could return it). Obviously, she did it in a very rude and condescending way. She basically kicked us out of their store (they didnât actually but still) and we were forced to go to Williams-Sonoma in south point (Durham) and they were alllll soooo sweeet and kind and accepted our return without any issues. I mean, it was essentially brand new and their policy says you canât return something if it falls under three categories. Please keep this in mind if youâre a customer reading this. They canât accept a return if itâs a digital item (gift card), personalized item with your initials etched into it or some other personalization to said item, and finally if there is a final sale sticker on it. Their policy says they can return things in like new condition (which is the condition our $350 coffee maker was in). So, after Durham accepted my return I would have dropped this whole thing, but I was then compelled to read all of the reviews from this store and something needs to change ASAP. Half the reviews for a 8 month old store are 1 stars. There are reviews where people have complained about racial discrimination. In 2023. Iâve escalated this beyond gabys boss, Nancy browning to her supervisor Robin Willard and Vicky McWilliams. All of whom I had to call customer service to get their numbers because Gaby refused to give it to me when I asked her (probably because she knew what she was doing). If robin and Vicky canât help me, then I am going to reach out to FTC and corporate and file complaints with them because a billion dollar company SHOULDNâT BE OPERATING AT THIS LEVEL. I own a small construction company, and even I wouldnât tolerate my employees/agents accusing customers as liars and so forth. Store should be shut down as of now.

At the time of purchase, the sales person acknowledged if we have any problems with it, the machine could be brought back anytime fir any reason. Given the higher end price, I honestly expected this and even mention to our family member to whom the gift was for. A little over 2 months, there was a problem with the grinder feature and to my surprise when I went back with the information needed we were instructed to call the 1800 number and was given the run around and that now they have a 30 day return policy which was never mentioned before. What a waste of time, money, and misinformation. Totally not what we expected. Will not be going back and Hope the manager and higher corporate reads this. This store is a complete disaster. I ordered a high-end espresso machine online and on sale and gave it to my wife for Christmas. She decided she liked the stainless steel color better than the white one I got, so I took the UNUSED, unopened machine to the Fenton store to exchange it.
Not only did the general manager refuse to process the exchange, but they also blatantly ignored the companyâs own policy that states online purchases can be exchanged in-store. The only thing they offered was to return it and repurchase the same item at the current, much higher priceâbasically trying to rip me off.
