$$ Cary Ale House has a decent sized menu with a nice choice of appetizers, sandwiches, entrees, and desserts. Everything is prepared well with good flavor and good portion sizes. There's also a full bar with speciality beer, wine, and mixed drinks. Liken this place to a local hangout that is comfortable with prices that won't break the bank. A big screen TV over the bar and a fair number of tables for eating. Staff is very friendly and pleasant. Surprisingly, they have two bristle dart boards in the back and curious when they're used. However, the one mounted by the window is too close to the wall and the scoreboard is mounted in wrong place, but that's my opinion on that. Anyway, There is a small parking lot plus street parking as well. For those coming from further away, it is only about a block from the Cary Metra station. Definitely a place to visit. 07/08/23 Had a chance to eat in their outdoor area and it was wonderful. It's not a large area but it's adequate and given the number of diners, it didn't feel cramped. As with previous comments, you won't be disappointed dining and/or...

Tried it for the first time and overall, it was a great experience. We started with the cheese curds which were very light and tasty (I don't know how a cheese curd can be "light", but these were great)! I had the catfish sandwich, which was very good, although the fish had a bit of that "musty" taste catfish can have. I would like another fish option, maybe cod, which has a cleaner flavor. I love that the side choices included veggie of the day as well as fries and side salad. I chose the former, which was lemon garlic parmesan green beans. They were fantastic! My son had the slider platter, which he enjoyed, with exception of the duck, as the raspberry aioli was forgotten and left the slider rather dry and boring. Service was very pleasant and overall very good, although there were a couple times an empty drink glass was walked by without asking if we wanted another and we had to flag down the server for refills. The menu has quite a few interesting and different items; I will certainly go back to try some...

Great service and food every time we have gone there. Sit at the same 6 top table with family as we did today. Every person who works there is top notch attentive and friendly! Best cheese curds we have every had , seriously!!! (This was a previous review ) Now I want to say that we sat at a front table today minus two kids so we didn't have to sit in the back 6 seater table . Have to say that Bailey our server was way over the top notch comment I said about the staff before . (Give the girl a raise !!) Also I still can not say enough about the food , always delicious and more than you can eat in one sitting, and we have tried several items on the menu. To top it off we still think the cheese curds they serve are the best you will ever taste and way above the Wisconsin State Fair curds! I'm hoping to get the secret batter rescipie , ha! Thank you again to the owners, wait staff, down to the dish washers which are probably also the servers for an excellent Sunday , don't want to cook today...

Cool location, neat atmosphere, small and focused menu. There are a lot of good things happening here and with the food but they seem to miss the mark on multiple things that combine to bring down the total experience. The mac and cheese is criminally under seasoned, great texture but hardly any flavor, fries were barely cooked and under seasoned , the cheese curds were insanely greasy and the prices were quite high on everything. The entries themselves were excellent but with little tweaks the entire experience could be elevated. With a little more seasoning, more attention to the cooking process it could easily be a 9/10. Our waiter was awesome though he did and excellent job.

Arrived at O’hare at 4:40pm ended up here for dinner around 6pm. Friday night of St Pat’s weekend. Lively, friendly and a table for me and my family. Tasted a few beers and enjoyed them all. Our group enjoyed cauliflower bites, fried goat cheese (my Fav!), cheese curds, fish and chips, shrimp po boy, cheeseburger with a side of Mac and cheese. Long story short food, beer and service was great. To top it all off the owner provided a hand written!!! List of his favorite Chicago eats. Who does that?? In town 2hrs and I’ve found my new best friend and local pub!
