New Management has ruined this place.
Cleanliness 2/5 - My drinking cup was filthy. I took a picture of it below. Didn't notice the dried food particles in it until I'd already drank half of it. Table was unclean and the menu as you can see in the pictures had sticky gunk thats been there on it for who knows how long.
Price 2/5 - I remember when it was $8 dollars for all you could eat. And if you had leftovers, you could take them home for free. The new management has implemented a $5 dollar fee if you want to take your leftovers home, even after you've already paid for it. That's right. They would rather throw your leftovers into the trash than allow you to take it home without giving them more money first. The price has also jumped up to $10 dollars for one tiny bowl of meat/vegetables. If you want to go up to the bar a second time it will cost you $13. Unlimited amount of times will run you $15. Remember, that just a few years ago, it was $8 for all you could eat. Its a joke. It makes no sense. If you want to take your leftovers home from your $10 dollar, one plate meal - it will run you $15 now. The same price as getting unlimited bowls. This seems to be a greedy slap in the face by the restaurants management to once loyal customers.
Service 2/5 - There was only one waitress for the entire restaurant. The waitress stopped by once to check on us. This wasn't the waitresses fault mind you. Rather its managements fault for understaffing in an attempt to rake in even more money by hiring as little employees as possible...in my opinion.
Quality 2/5 - In the picture you will see their salad bar. Lettuce, cucumbers, olives, croutons and cheese. No tomatoes, no onions, no mushrooms or green peppers, nothing really; and only three kinds of dressing. The bar was made up of tiny chopped veggies and frozen cut meat from who knows how many days or weeks back. The rise in prices while lowering cleanliness standards seems like a bad business idea. Penalizing your patrons with a $5 fee for them wanting to take their food leftovers home, has to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. For this reason, my wife and I will...
Read moreOne star is too generous actually. Below is a detailed feedback for my first and only visit: Food: flavorless especially sauces. If you cut some meat and veggies at home and grill them on a griddle you will get a better cleaner result! they just throw your raw food on the grill and cook it, nothing special Staff: They were nice expect for the manager. Here is a situation I ran into: The waitress welcomed us and said there are three options 1 bowl for $10, 2 for $13 or unlimited for $15. That's all what she said. I came here with a couple friends who have been here before, and they said this is basically a buffet, one bowl is one bowl per visit to the food bar, two is two bowls per visit, but basically all unlimited visits (IF you go you will see how tiny the bowl is, so it made sense). I chose the single bowl and made two visits, then another waitress came and said hey, now you have used two bowls so you pay $13! If you want more you pat $15. I went to the manager and explained the situation and that my friends came here the week before and paid $10 for three bar visits (one bowl per visit) and that was the impression I had, the waitress Today never clarified that it is one visit! He Said: " I don't believe that story about last week. Our staff would never do that, we count the plates" "I heard the waitress who welcomed while I was sitting in my office and I know she explained that to you" I told him she didn't explain the single visit thing, and suggested he ask her, but he said she left and said "We don't have to say it is ONE visit for the single BOWL, it is clear" My friend explained that the waiter last time said it was unlimited and he thinks he is asian/chinese looking. The manager said we only have one american waiter here.
After all, I said ok, a misunderstanding happened this time or last time, and I won't argue about $3 extra to pay, but is the $3 more important to you than our business? he still told the waitress to charge us the extra $3, looked back at his computer and then I heard him saying the F* word, not sure about what but at least not in my face...
Read moreThere was nothing special about Crazy Fire until the last trip that inspired me to leave a review. The food was OK and we would go maybe once every four months. Until last weekend. When we got in line the bowls that you use to fill you ingrediats with were not clean. There was obvious food stuff (mushrooms to be exact) in the bin and on the bowls. They had not been cleaned and when we told someone they said they would get to it in a minute. We never saw anyone go over there to clean it. I had intended to check on the way out but something else came up that made me forget. When my girlfriend was finishing up her dish when she found a 2 inch splinter of wood in it. We called the waitress over and showed her the splinter which was about the diamante of a tooth pick but much sharper. All she could say was we don't have any wood here from where that could have come from. She then goes on to tell us that there was one vegetable that did come in a crate so it could have been from that but she didn't remember which vegetable it was. Since we had just about finished our meals I was not surprised that I was charged full price for everything, but what I found shocking was that no action was taken to make sure that no other splinters were still in the food on the serving line. This total disregard for the customers safety is just not acceptable. I will not be going back and I would recommend staying away from this location.
Update 8/12/16 We'll it's been some time since we went to Crazy Fire so we thought we would give it a chance again. Our mistake. This time when we got back to the table from getting our food cook we found a cockroach running across the table. That was just too much. We were glade if was not in the food but we decided we were not eating because if the roaches are in the lighted dinning room who knows what they are on...
