I am astonished to see ANY favorable reviews for this location (much less the current 4 stars). Yet, I see several reviews that are much in line with my experiences and observations. I have visited this site three times this year (2025). Twice in early March and once in mid-April. On the first visit, I walked in to find only one customer at the counter. Once their business was concluded, and they departed, it took fully two minutes before any of the four staff members behind the counter to acknowledge my presence and take my order (again, I was the only person standing on the customer side of the counter). I received my coffee, stepped outside, took a sip, and found the drink tepid at best. Second visit... I was the only patron inside the establishment when I entered, and it still took them over a minute to greet and take my order (this time, I only saw three employees behind the counter). I was finally able to conclude my transaction and felt that the cup was warm enough. Yea! Feeling confident (despite the poor service), I drove off. When I did take a sip, I found that the coffee was stale. Stale stale. Grey colored and bitter. Last visit... I walked in, the better part of a minute, behind two Cary police officers. When I entered, they were the only other customers in the store and, somehow, already had their coffees in hand. I never witnessed any collection of payment, which led me to believe that the transaction had been concluded. At this point, I expected the dirty blonde woman behind the counter to take my order. But no, she decided that it was better to have an extended social discourse with the tall, lanky cop, while the rather short cop played with his phone. After about a minute of this, I exited and will not be back. Especially since I noticed the Less-Than-Stellar health department grade posted by the drive through window. Once in the parking lot, I googled the nearest DD and received proper service and...
Read moreThis store is my regular and it was really good up until 6 weeks or so ago its been downhill. With that being said my experience today went like this. My go to is the iced Macchiato for +10 years. If my macchiato (layered beverage) has so much ice that its impossible to swirl the ice to mix my beverage, after HOT ESPRESSO has been poured over that said ice...CLEARY there is too much ice in the cup. I politely requested it to be remade. The guy at the window said he couldn't take it back. I asked him again "can you please remake this? Its all ice you can see it full all the way past the indent to put in the cup holder. I spent over $5 on this drink??" Then he got another guy, he comes to the window, asks why i want it remade. I told him again. Then he goes and talks to a women who then asks why i want it remade. After telling AGAIN, she begins to educate me on HOW a Macchiato is made because CLEARLY i am the ignorant one. I say nothing further, i was upset to the point of physically shaking. She took it the back used the flavor swirl spoon, fished out the ice, and returned it to me. My sugarless drink returned, almost completely iceless and sweetened. I personally don't send things back often but i know of no company except Dunkin that bullies its customers for requesting a SIMPLE remake. Especially when that said customer didn't have an attitude, wasn't acting entitled, nor did they raise their voice, they just expressed dissatisfaction with product and requested a fix. Dunkin did me dirty today, and when i tried to work with them to resolve the issue was bullied, and that remade macchiato was just as genuine as that woman. Panera or Starbucks, can be...
Read moreI have been visiting this Dunkin Donuts for over 15 years, and have never had such a bad experience as I did yesterday. I have been a repeat customer for years, and even make the drive from Smithfield once a week to this location because of the wonderful staff. When I came in yesterday, there was a young lady with dreadlocks and a young man. When she came to the register, she already had a nasty attitude about herself and I actually had to tell her how to reload my Dunkin App. Once she began to make my coffees, she became even more annoyed when she made them wrong 3 times. When she was corrected by me, she she began to show her frustration through her body language, and even muttered some choice words under her breath which I heard. I then asked her to wash out my coffee containers and give me a refund. She didn't even try to make it right, just walked back to the register. She didn't even know how to refund my order, but had to ask the young man who was running drive thru, to ask how to do it. I usually spend up to $40 each time I visit because I get multiple coffees and sandwiches, and even if I didn't only spent $1, I expect to be treated respectfully. Sorry to say, but I probably won't be making the trip anymore. It is a shame because I most definitely love...
