KFC — Restaurant in Cary

I have been to KFC multiple times but this location has been outstanding. When I and my family first stepped into the building the workers all gave us a warm welcome and quickly showed us around and started us with all the popular and delicious starters. We had the creamy mashes potatoes and the fresh veggies. When I took my first spoonful of the mashed potatoes i felt a creamy and heavenly sensation. I felt like I was floating on the clouds because of how nice and smooth the texture was. The veggies were nice and crispy and fresh; we had carrots and brussel sprouts and I couldn't even tell if the veggies were from a corner shop or a farm because they tasted so fresh. Next, we had the chicken drumsticks we ordered a pretty hefty amount of chicken considering we had a party of 12 that day. (I recommend making a reservation about a day in advance just to make sure that the dining room is not packed.) The chicken was nice and hot, steamy and crunchy. All the flavors just bursted into my mouth and all the savory juices rushed down my throat. I had about 4 pieces of chicken before gulping down an apple juice. Just plain nasty. I rarely go here because I’ve had really rude interactions with the manager here in the past as have many people I’ve spoken to. I’ve even seen her tell an upset customer to leave who wasn’t even being irate. It’s been a while and I thought maybe she’s gone so it was worth trying again. Boy was I wrong. I didn’t see that manager this time, so I don’t know if she’s still there, but the food was really nasty. My wife got the correct order, but her food was stale and chewy. We primarily went because I wanted to try the new Mac and cheese bowl. Instead I received a mash potato bowl, which I didn’t know until we got home. I tried to eat it anyway, but it was completely gross. The chicken pieces were so old and chewy that I couldn’t eat them. The mash potato and corn mixture tasted like a cross between chemicals and spoiled corn. I’m still wondering if I’m going to get food poisoning before the night is over. I definitely will not return here. If I do get another craving for a KFC dish, I’ll make the drive to Apex to the one near Beaver Creek. It’s nothing stellar, but for KFC, it’s decent and the food is much fresher. Hard pass on the Harrison Ave location. Go next door to...

This place is hilarious. The staff is a bunch of punks who hate their job. Last time I went through the girl just says "taco bell", so I placed my order and she just blurts out the dollar amount. So, I drive up and she just opens the window and sticks her hand out, doesn't say a word. I'm thinking to myself... "okay". So I hand her the money, and I get my order. Low and behold it's wrong. They added cheese when I told them not to, so hand it back over and the lady in the back literally spreads open the burrito and holds it in the air yelling at me "there's no cheese on this!". I had spread then thing open in my car and looked at it under a spot light. I know what cheese looks like. I told her I wasn't going to argue with her and there is no need to be so rude. So, they remade my now cursed burrito and the original girl just stood there, still not saying anything. I told her she should learn to be a bit more personable if she was going to work customer service. After all that mess, I apologized for any issue or stress I caused her, I think this snapped her out of her catatonic state because afterwards she actually started talking. People really know how to make the simplest things...
