This is my grandparents' favorite Mexican restaurant. I was visiting my grandparents whom are locals from out of town with my parents and son. The food is really good. You get complementary chips and a choice between 2 salsas, mild and spicy, I think we got both. They were pretty good, I loved the spicy one and basically filled up on that and a non-alcoholic margarita. I got the steak fajitas. It was a huge portion with rice, beans, lettuce, Pico de Gallo, guacamole, sour cream, and warm tortillas. All of which were delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful; everything was seasoned very well. I took a lot of it home, and it made for great leftovers the next day. My son got a burrito, which he really enjoyed. Everyone at the table loved their dish. There was some confusion when my Grandma was ordering. She said she wanted the Mexican pizza but was pointing at another item on accident reading about the sauce, so it naturally confused the waitress. My grandma was brought the dish she was pointing at. She asked the waitress about it, the confusion was cleared up, and the waitress brought the Mexican pizza right away. The waitress was very gracious in handling that situation that was an accident by my grandma, and I appreciated it a lot. The staff was all very kind and friendly. I loved the atmosphere in the restaurant. The decor celebrates the vibrancy of Mexican culture through its colorful hand-painted chairs and festive atmosphere. The restaurant is very cozy and eye catching, I felt like I spotted something new every time I looked around. If you want a beautiful, artsy, Mexican atmosphere with great Mexican food, I highly recommend this restaurant. It's clean, great staff, great food and great environment.

Disappointing. Last winter we loved this brightly painted, cheery place—good food and service. But this visit was not great. Violeta was nice enough, but we tried and tried to get her attention for more salsa and eventually had to chase her down. She did not check in about how the food was. We did not get offers for refills of our drinks. Or chips and salsa The food portion on my husband’s chicken mole was small for $14.95, spread out thinly over a large platter. My chicken tortilla soup was Enormous, but taste-wise the equivalent of Campbell’s’ tomato soup—just not great. A Very small side of guacamole looked like it had been squirted directly out of a plastic Sisco bag and cost $3.95! We remembered this place being really good last winter, but now I’d call it, “Mexican food for those who can’t tell the difference but still want all the Cost.” Consider trying the tortilla soup at Arriba’s family restaurant in Ajo, or anything at the Wisdom’s DOS restaurant in Tubac. Call us “foodies,” but we’d really rather not waste our money on mediocre Mexican food when there is so much Wonderful Mexican food out there to enjoy. The north end of Casa Grande Really needs some better restaurants!

Although the restaurant is cute, the main dining room was very warm and extremely small with tables too close for comfort. And, while we did receive prompt service, the waitress was curt with me when I asked about the lunch specials on the back of the menu, snapping that "nothing on the back" was still available since it was just after 2:00 pm on Sunday. My husband ordered the ground beef chimichunga and paid extra to get it "enchilada style", but it was served with very little sauce as you can see from the photo. I had a chicken enchilada and shredded beef taco combo. The taco shell was broken and soggy when it was served to me and the beef in it lacked flavor. The enchilada was okay, but somewhat dry. I must add that I started with a refreshing House Margarita, but felt a bit ill right after drinking it, and then when I finished my meal, I became very ill, so I'm not sure if it was the alcohol or the food.

Authentic Flavors, Warm Ambiance, and Friendly Service

Rating: ★★★★☆

Anaya's Mexican Food Restaurant has become a favorite dining spot for me and my friends thanks to its delicious dishes, inviting atmosphere, and attentive service. While there are always opportunities for improvement, my overall experience at Anaya's has been highly satisfying, earning them a solid four-star rating.

One of the standout qualities of Anaya's is the authentic flavors found in their Mexican cuisine. From the moment I set foot in the restaurant, I knew I was in for a fantastic dining experience. The menu boasts a wide array of traditional Mexican dishes, from sizzling fajitas to mouthwatering enchiladas. Every bite is seasoned to perfection, leaving your taste buds begging for more.

Beyond the delectable food, Anaya's Mexican Food Restaurant also offers an inviting and cozy ambiance. The warm, colorful décor, combined with the charming Mexican-themed artwork, enhances the overall dining experience. The restaurant always feels vibrant and lively, without being too loud or overcrowded. Whether it's for a casual dinner with friends or a special celebration, Anaya's provides a comfortable and enjoyable environment for gathering and indulging in exceptional Mexican cuisine.

Moreover, the service at Anaya's deserves recognition for its friendly and attentive nature. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a delightful experience for every guest. From the moment you are greeted at the door to the attentive waitstaff ready to assist with menu recommendations, the level of customer care truly stands out. The waitstaff is knowledgeable, accommodating, and always willing to accommodate special requests to ensure each customer's satisfaction.

While Anaya's Mexican Food Restaurant has certainly won me over with its delicious cuisine, warm ambiance, and exceptional service, I reserve my fifth star for those exceptional experiences that truly exceed expectations. While Anaya's is undoubtedly a fantastic dining establishment, there have been moments where the service may have faltered, resulting in minor delays or oversights. However, it is important to note that these instances were rare and did not significantly tarnish the overall delightful experience.

In conclusion, Anaya's Mexican Food Restaurant is a must-visit for any lover of authentic Mexican cuisine. The delectable flavors, inviting ambiance, and friendly service are sure to leave a lasting impression. While not without minor hiccups, Anaya's dedication to delivering a memorable dining experience earns them a solid four-star rating. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and look forward to...

In my mind, this is the stereo typical Mexican restaurant. It is brightly colored, basic dishes standard to most restaurants, etc, etc. However, this has become our favorite restaurant for Mexican food here in Casa Grande. I'm not sure if it's true, or how many other restaurants do the same, but rumor has it they actually make many items in house, fresh daily. That may be the difference. Regardless, we love the food items! Delicious! Also, they have some dishes I've never heard of before at other Mexican restaurants. Don't know if they still do it, but we have encountered a Mariachi band there before. I believe they were there on Thursdays. I also feel like that is a little touristy, mainly because I don't know how authentic that experience would be in Mexico. But that's my ignorance showing through. Besides, even if it a little more touristy than authentic, there is still something special about seeing and hearing a Mariachi band while eating Mexican food. We love it. Service is almost always up to par. Of all the times we've eaten there, we've only had one or two times (when they were really business) that we may have had to wait a little longer to get served, or have drinks refreshed, but that's typical. Generally, service is...
