Awesome skillet, great service and the atmosphere feels cozy and classy at the same time.
Was greeted as soon as I walked in and was seated within the minute. Waitress greeted me in a great time as well. Wish I remembered her name but I did recognize her from another establishment I used to frequent with my spouse! She was over at village inn for a while.
I ordered the Hobo Skillet, mushrooms, peppers, HOME MADE BACON BITS (which you can tell are fresh) topped with eggs of your choice (which I opted out of) and bread of your choice.
Assorted condiments are on the table (not hot sauce or ketchup) you’ll have to remember to ask for those beforehand. I did order a coffee, which they seem to only have drip coffee (I may be wrong) drip coffee was great. Did not taste old, or have any weird aftertaste. As far as creamer; they bring a small dessert cup with about 8 single serve liquid creamers, half and half and French vanilla.
Food came out fast. About a 5 minute wait! Skillet came out in a decent size brown skillet on top a white plate. My English muffin was toasted and buttered perfectly! The hash browns in the skillet were CRISP! and the finely graded cheese atop them was perfect.
I am 100% coming back with my husband!!
Paid about $17.50 for myself. Breakfast entree and a coffee. Not expensive but not cheap!
Great quality food & service! Kudos to the owners for having such...
Read moreJust okay. Food has definitely gone downhill since changing owners. The soup used to be thick and flavorful and now it is thin and tasteless. The bread used to be amazing, soft, and sometimes even warm. I got three pieces wrapped up and all were butts of the bread. It's hard and cold and if I had to guess 4 or 5 days old maybe? The crackers are so stale that I'm pretty sure they're the same ones from when the original restaurant opened back in the day. Since becoming the " Bluebird " I have been here probably five or six times and was never that impressed. I try to get people to go to lunch there but nobody wants to. The restaurant is nostalgic for me since I went to NCHS. Every Thursday (2002-2005) we would get cauliflower soup to go and there would be a line out the door and almost no one sitting in the restaurant. That's why what happened today was kind of ironic.
The cook was angry for some reason and kept coming out to berate the other staff. She yelled out from the kitchen that they were not to take anymore to go orders. A customer told the girl at the front, who was very sweet, that they had tried to call to make an order and apparently the cook had taken the phone, like a child. Seems like the solution to fixing your restaurant is...
Read moreA few years ago I moved to Casper permanently and I needed a cup of coffee and it ended up being 4$… for friggen coffee! I never went back…
BUT!! I posted looking for raves on who has the best breakfast burrito on a Sunday morning and like 7 of y’all said bluebird… so I came back.
It’s still a 4$ cup of coffee but the burrito was….. well…. Pretty damn tasty!! I mean I wasn’t totally blown away but I’m a snob!! I went with the breakfast burrito no onions no peppers crispy bacon. What I got was a breakfast burrito no peppers no onions crispy bacon. Seriously is this the best Sunday morning breakfast burrito in Casper??? Our waitress Melanie was perfect.. the soft jazz in the background i would trade for country …. But that’s okay. The cook was wearing a hairnet on his beard so I’m pretty sure the kitchen is clean.. The potato’s were actually potato’s - perfectly cooked and the portion was bigger than I could finish. The green chili was a mild heat but let’s be honest… boiled chicken can be to spicy to most of Wyoming… the flavor was really really good.. I give it an 9/10. I...
