Great Harvest Bread Co — Restaurant in Casper

I've been going to Great Harvest since it opened in the renovated Bi Rite Drugstore building. The bread is incredible--crisp crust with a chewy, moist, flavorful and delicious crumb no matter what kind you try. They just started making sourdough and it too is really good. The sandwiches and soup are healthy and tasty, and I have heard they are introducing salads soon. GH is a great stop for lunch but best (I think!) for a later afternoon coffee/tea and treat break. They make great cookies--the best peanut butter cookies in the state--and the brownies are wicked good. A less guilt-inducing pastry is the Savannah bar--an oatmeal crumb crust with berry compote on top. No palm oil here--everything is unapologetically made with butter, as it should be. Tried it out for breakfast but as a pregnant lady with food aversion, the mega garlicky butter that was slathered into my sandwich ruined my entire appetite. 😑 Not their fault! But I do feel such garlicky butter should be disclosed, it was so strong when I got into my car with the bag I knew it was a mistake. The brown sugar cold brew was sour; I like a stout brew, but not sour; it overpowered everything and wasn't good. The brown sugar jelly at the bottom didn't suck through my straw even after letting it sit for an hour and then sipping on it all day. It would have been reasonably priced if I was able to finish any of it, but tossing that huge sandwich hurt on a few levels. Their paninis are good and their vegetarian sandwich was good. The smoked turkey salad was romaine lettuce with sliced deli meat; not the quality I was expecting for a $9-10 salad. The main issue I have is the poor service. I walked in to pick up an online order. There were no signs. After asking I was pointed toward the cash register where I stood waiting for two other people to order, and then the cashier disappeared to put together an order.
