We went in looking for books on different religions we wanted to educate ourselves on but when my Fiancé asked for help finding books on Buddhism the lady stood up to show her while the two men behind the counter made ignorant gestures behind my Fiancé’s back & continued laughing & making fun of my Fiancé for asking about a book on Buddhism. I immediately called out the situation & said we’re out of here & will not be buying anything from them, while they continued to laugh & didn’t say a word to apologize or fix the situation. They just let us walk out without a word. A book store is supposed to be a comfortable environment for people to educate & open their minds to subjects they’re unfamiliar with, not to be judged & made fun of for the subjects of books they’re interested in!
