I have to praise Lisa and her team at the Castle Hills location for an OUTSTANDING dinner experience. From the moment we parked we were greeted by a lady cleaning the exterior windows. The cashier was very pleasant and great at explaining our meal option questions. The young lady that brought our food out was a ray of sunshine with smiles and joy in her service. I live by a Golden Chicken in the Foster rd area...but I will not set one foot in there. The times I've visited Foster Rd...no greeting, never told my total, they just grunt and stare at you because it seems they dont want their good times behind the counter interrupted by a customer. Foster Rd needs a massive shake up and can learn a lot from the Castle Hills location, maybe they have different owners...because it's very different. I will gladly drive the 20+ miles, fight the traffic to eat at the Castle Hills location with Lisa and her crew. Now, what is even more important is the quality of the product. We had a chicken sandwich, fried chicken thighs (giant size) , fish and salads. The food was amazing, fresh, delicious. The ice cream machine was not working but no worries...we were stuffed. This crew deserves a huge congratulations on a job well done. If there is an area supervisor or an owner...buy that crew some pizza or something, they all had a mission...to take care of the customer! Well done Lisa and crew, WELL DONE! Hope to see you...
Read moreWe waited a long time for this location to open and were so excited. The food is always awesome and we drive over from Nacogdoches and 410 to pick up, but have had multiple bad customer service experiences and it’s so disappointing. The cashier at the window tonight was rude to my husband from the get-go and we were both confused by it, and tried to let him know after we got our food and he just said “well I didn’t mean it like that” and was upset that we brought it up. I know CS is a hard job, trust me, but these folks need some real training and, guys… it’s just chicken. You can do this well. Hopefully things are much better next time, but it may be a while until we’re up for it again.
Also I would have rather sent an email through the site about this instead of a Google review, but the location isn’t an option to select on the site yet and our receipt didn’t have a CS number to text, which was advertised on the drive thru window.

Read moreCame in Tuesday for the family Tuesday tenders. They charged me 29.99 for 16 tenders when the deal is 16 tenders for 17.99. Jose, do a better job of mentioning promotions that they have going on that are the exact same item the customer is asking about. I literally spent an extra 12 bucks for absolutely nothing. Then the manager acted basically like screw me when Jose went and got him. I definitely give fair reviews but this level of customer service, smh it’s not hard to give a customer a fair go around. It’s not like the money is yours Jose or the Caucasian manager with the braid in his hair. I was thinking about going to Popeyes anyway lol. Now that I got screwed I definitely should have. Be careful about your money here folks and don’t expect the workers to do the right thing. Jose even acknowledged that “yeah that sucks sorry boss” even after he did the whole situation. Keep working at Golden Chick Jose and Mr Manager, it suits...
