Very disappointed in this venue, I had been emailing since January 21st and made an appointment with Kim to go tour on Feb 6th to go see the venue with my future daughter in law and told them we were very interested in having my sons wedding at their venue. It was a wedding were are trying to plan for March 12th the day was available, Another reason for a quick wedding was my other son is also in the military and he is going to home in March so making plans so he could be home for his brother's wedding. I asked for a brunch menu and told Kim I was going to wait and see what the menu options were and that my son was in Hawaii as he was there for he is in the military. I received the menu from Jenna, we looked it over and again I was emailing them and told them we wanted to set another appointment. I was planning on putting a contract on for March 12th and setting up everything on Thursday with my son who would be back home and his finance. Made the appointment for Feb 9th. We get there, we meet with Jenna and I am asking questions. Then Jenna asked if we are really set for the date of March 12th? My son fiance said we want that date, the Jenna replies that someone came in the day before and put a bid on March 12th and same time and they gave them that day knowing we were coming in the day after. We did not receive and email or a phone call because if I did I would have just gone then to pay for everything. Now we are rushing to find another venue and trying to plan everything when we thought it was set. Yes, I was told first come first serve basis but I had been emailing and communicating with them and they could not give the courtesy to give me a heads-up. What really upset me that I told Jenna the other person we spoke to who is Kim that we wanted March 12th and she said well a lot of people say they want to book but never come back. WE CAME BACK AND WERE EMAILING BACK AND FORTH! All honesty that place is not kept clean and when you show up no one is there to great you, First time I arrived I yelled HELLO up the stairs to get there attention second time someone was walking down the stairs and I told him we had an appointment. You pay for what you get a dirty not kept up venue bad customer service. Yes it is the winter but keep up with the...

There could not have been a better place to hold our wedding. It was so beautiful, the various distinct spaces allow for so much movement and variety for both guests and photographers, the prices were really reasonable, and Jenna is amazing. She is super responsive, very friendly, and so patient when you're asking a hundred questions up to the day! On our actual wedding day, Cristina was incredible; for example, she saw that we brought conchas but that our single platter wasn't going to fit them all, so she brought in some additional pretty wooden ones for us to use at no extra cost. She was super attentive to us during the reception and was so nice and helpful to everyone. All the staff---from the bartender to the various staff pulling off the reception---were super sweet and always friendly to anyone who spoke to them or said thanks to them. It was a perfect event. Obviously, that is thanks to so many vendors who were there, as well----but The Veranda and all its people were not only super accommodating and easy to work with, but it was just such a beautiful and lovely space, period. Every single person we talked to told us that they loved ALL the food, so shout out to Spice of Life, their caterer! We went with the stations option, so it more buffet-style and guests had so many options for cocktail hour and dinner. Jenna had absolutely perfect suggestions for all our starter fare, entrees, and desserts. They even loaded us up on toilet paper and paper towels (things you just don't think about prior lol). I would recommend them for any wedding, but especially couples like us who love greenery, flowers, stone, windows, and having both nice outdoor and...

My brother in law had his wedding here and it was a beautiful venue! I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the actual venue itself it was gorgeous and we got great pictures. This is probably one of the reasons why I still gave it three stars. I personally was fortunate enough to not have to encounter Christina (I believe that’s her name) the manager face to face but one time for a quick drink. She was not nice at all to the guest at the wedding. She told my sister in law when she went up to the bar (it was an open bar) for her second drink that she was cut off and that she had to much to drink. My sister took a Uber to the wedding and was only getting her second drink. My grandmother who doesn’t drink got yelled at as she was leaving when she stumbled on some rock by Christina saying “ma’am how much did you drink!?”. I could keep going about how rude this woman was but I think you get the point. Bartender was frustrated because he just wanted to do his job and she wouldn’t leave him alone. I hope our tips made up for it. I would fire Christina she’s horrible at her...

We had our wedding there on Saturday and the venue was absolutely beautiful! There are soo many different photogenic areas, the groomsmen suite and bridal suite was the perfect size for our party and all of our guests loved the food Spice of Life made for our day. We are from out of state so we came into a lot of it blind, but they were so accommodating and went above and beyond. After our grand exit I forgot to save some charms from my bouquet at the venue and they emailed me to have them mailed back which was just very generous. Absolutely would suggest the veranda for any major event!

The Veranda venue and partner caterer Spice of Life were absolutely wonderful to us. They were quick to respond on any wedding questions we had. The venue was beautiful. The food was Delicious! An absolutely beautiful location, within our budget, close to hotels. Logistically perfect for out of town guests. It was a quick 5-10 minute Uber ride to 3 hotels nearby, and 10-15 minute ride to the SATX Airport. Perfect for out of town guests- no guess work. We are so happy we chose this group for our wedding day.
