Purchase and dining experience on Tuesday July 13, 2021 between 3pm -5pm.

I took my family to this place to buy them dinner for a special occasion. While the food was of great quality and tasted delicious (we purchased a chuck burger, bacon chuck burger, mushroom swiss burger, and a house salad), I didn't receive the hospitality or customer service I had read in so many of their other reviews.

The staff at the lunch counter was good but the experience I received at the meat counter was horrible. The very young, blonde girl with a tie-dye shirt treated me as if I was a nuisance to her. Under her breath she clearly voiced her frustrations how this shouldn't be her job to help me pick some jerky from the meat case but that of her coworkers who were not around-there was not attempt to hide what she was saying. I was polite as could be, referring to her as "ma'am," when asking for help but she rolled her eyes and kept sighing at literally any question I had when asking for recommendations on which products to purchase. This customer service representative clearly ruined the experience the lunch counter staff strived to give me.

Perhaps this is one of those places where they feel the food is so good that customers should put up with whatever attitude they receive from the staff but no one should be treated so rudely when trying to spend money in support of a local business. Food is great, but maybe you should just order for pickup to avoid an...

I used to live in southern Oregon and enjoyed the Taylor products while there and in NH after we moved. I called to order again - about $600 of product, and had two issues. One is out of Taylor's control. USDA requires expensive shipping for items that used to be sent in USPS priority fixed-price boxes which arrived in two to three days. Price for the new shipping is astronomical ... almost the price of the sausages we were ordering. That's a shame. The other issue is I said I could pay with an emailed check. Deluxe offers these and I use them all the time both receiving and sending. Perfectly legitimate. But they were new to Yvette and to the company and so Yvette wrote me off as a flake and never bothered to followed up with me, in spite of several communications before that. I called today and let her know that they are in fact legitimate but I was happy to pay another way, as my previous email said. i.e. I have credit and debit cards in addition to pdf checks. Then I found out about the shipping charges. We will have to get our sausage fix with NE sources in the...

First and foremost, an excellent, great quality, decent portions at a reasonable price restaurant.

We had Ribeye and Pastrami Reuben sandwiches. Ribeye steak was of great quality, large portion and cooked to the perfect level. However, it was very short of seasoning, so the flavor was bland. Lots of potential, a little short on delivery. It needed salt, pepper, garlic and paprika to bring out the flavor. French fries, however, were seasoned to perfection and cooked perfectly. Delicious fries!

The Reuben flavor was excellent, however, there was way too little meat. It might have been 4 extremely thin slices of meat, and it really tastes more of sauerkraut and rye bread than of pastrami. Onion rings were cooked perfectly; whoever is running the deep fryer is doing an excellent job. However, they do need more seasoning in the batter.

While we didn't order them, the Hot Dogs looked amazing and would recommend trying the Hungarian (Magyr) Hot Dog. A local was saying it was the best they had.

Service was super friendly and family oriented.

Fun, local...

This is a Cave Junction delicacy with outstanding food. I love their Taylor Dogs and other variations such as the Cheddar dog. But this visit I decided to order the French Dip sandwich and it was only ok but maybe it’s because I just don’t like French Dip sandwiches because I never had one I liked before. My wife got the ribs and they were fantastic and the fries were out of this world crunchy and delicious!! A little disappointed by the kids Mac and cheese as it seemed like Kraft out of a box but I guess that’s to be expected for kids meals. My son loved it anyway! And during the lunch rush we waited nearly 30 minutes for our order which was a bit of a long wait but it was worth it. The atmosphere of the country store was awesome and we even got some gifts to bring back home with us. Their house made cookies were excellent too and only $1.50 each!!!

It's just an "eh" for us. We got an assortment of jerkys - dried and their "trailblazer" in garlic. The trailblazer is sickeningly sweet, almost like syrup is just poured on. Our stomachs and taste buds were not a fan. They will give you samples before you purchase. We also had lunch - club sandwich, a couple different sausages, and a bowl of their hamburger soup. Sandwich was dry. Sausages were not flavorful at all, and the soup left my stomach uneasy and I was burping for the rest of the day. Huge selection of meats and some jarred condiments. Great service. Decent prices for lunch. Jerky is a little pricey. Nice and clean, well lit.

Love this place. I got the philly cheesesteak. I really think it was the best I have ever had. Very good. Got a piece of orange cake as well. So freaking good. I will be back! Update: I did go back, but sadly it was not any where near as good this time. I dropped my rating to a 4. If I were to base it on the French dip I got, it would be a 2 at best. The meat was extremely dry, and the juice tasted burnt so I couldn't use it. I should have known it wouldn't be good when the handed me my order a minute after paying for it. Obvious the meat was not freshly cooked. It was the worse French dip I have every had.
