Murray's Neighborhood Grill and Bar — Restaurant in Cayce

We have been here a handful of times, and it either a hit or miss. Well bud, last night was one huge miss. First of all, we ordered 10 wings as an appetizer for 4 people. The wings that were piping hot were delicious. But then we grabbed wings that were ice cold. Not like just sitting out cold. It was like they were taken out the fridge, tossed in sauce and thrown in the basket cold. They were fully cooked though. I've never had an experience like that anywhere.

Secondly, my husband asked for a bacon cheeseburger. Just bacon and cheese meat and bun. I reiterated that with the server twice and he even repeated it back to us. Well when we finally get our food, lo and behold it has EVERYTHING on it. My husband was hungry so he picked it off and slid the mountain of mayo off his bun onto a plate and had to eat it. We had waited long enough for what we already got. And he wasnt waiting long for them to remake it. The server said he would take it off our bill.

Thirdly, Now usually I'm pretty fond of their stuffed flounder but our server said they were out so my MIL and myself ordered fried shrimp with a baked potato. The baked potatoes were cold also. You couldn't even melt butter on them and they were hard as a brick.

Lastly. Now this is what just sent us over the edge. And the sole reason I'm making this post. The check. The waiter brings us our check. And he never asked if it needed to be separated. He just brought 1 with everything together. When he came back I told him that we needed my husband and i's stuff together and my MIL and FIL on a check together. He proceeds to take both our cards and after a while we realize "Hey where is this guy with our stuff" it sure has been a hot minute. Well we can see him at his station swiping our cards more than once. And then we start checking our mobile banking apps. And he has charged one of our cards twice for two different amounts. Finally he brings our cards and receipts back to us, says have a good night and walks off. Well he has to know that he swiped our card for different amounts and didnt bother to say a word to any of us. Now remember when I told you that he would take the burger off our bill? Well he didnt. I just went ahead and paid for it because it wasnt worth the time nor effort. And I didnt want to make it look like I wanted free food. My husband ate what he was given and that's that. But dont offer to do something and end up not doing it. So we get the manager over to us and explain the situation with the cards and she gets it fixed. She was nice and courteous. And very apologetic. She did her job well. The lady at the hostess area was extremely nice asked for the manager she immediately got her. And she was also apologetic and I appreciate both of them for being so kind especially when I've seen managers at other establishments be very defensive and rude. But that wasnt the case here. Just very disappointed and we probably will...

I ordered my food online and had it delivered to me. Approximate time to have delivery was an hour and 10 minutes and it arrived on time. I spent $30.00 on a T-bone steak, steak fries, toast and a salad. I ordered my steak medium rare, and was surprised that the temperature of the steak was PERFECT, because I usually have people over cook my steaks! I was ecstatic that Murray's got it right! However, that is where the praise stops. While the temperature was perfect, it tasted like it had zero seasoning on the steak at all. My bread was soggy from lying in the juice from the steak. The steak fries were absolutely horrible! They were burnt and even worse, they tasted just as bad as they looked.... BURNT. Lastly, I ordered the salad with Bleu cheese dressing and the salad dressing was awful as well... It had almost no flavor. I chose this restaurant over about 20 different ones offering delivery because I really wanted that T-bone steak, but I could not be more disappointed with the quality of the food. It was a HUGE let down. I don't know what they have against seasoning their food, but I am one unhappy customer. If I am spending $30 on a single meal, I would expect it to MUCH better than this. I will NOT be back to eat there, and I'd advise that you don't waste your money there either. Food is...

Dangerous!! I sat at the bar and literally watched "food dangers". If you would like to teach your food service staff on what not to do; take them to Murray's in Cayce, SC. I would not recommend this restaurant. Especially to immunity- suppressed individuals such as cancer patient and etc. No one uses gloves. The veggie medley sits on the counter in a big white bucket and the cook grab handfuls as needed. Mind you, he just took his smart phone out of his pocket to do something. I watched as all salads were literally hand-made. Not one glove or tong in sight. The lady who took my order and handled money also opened beers; made a salad, grabbed a handful of salad mix, tomatoes, ran out of cucumbers, open the little fridge, pulled a few cucumbers out of container, slung off the excess juices and threw them on the salad. Remember, no gloves in sight. The waitress is standing around eating.... I guess finger food?! I was scared to death. Maybe this restaurant is too hometown comfortable to teach their staff the essential basics of food sanitation, area cleanliness, and personal cleanliness when preparing and serving food. Imagine if it was not an open kitchen. I try not to think of what I did not see or what I may have missed. RUN FOR...
