Pita Pit — Restaurant in Cedar Falls

Customer service was absolutely terrible. I went in to grab a pita at 2pm on a weekday. I was the only customer there. Two young men were behind the counter. I assume they worked there but wouldn’t have known by their attire as they were both wearing sagging sweatpants and hoodie sweatshirts (with nothing that said Pita Pit). Neither of them acknowledged me at all. Eventually one of them walked super slowly over to the register where I was standing but he did not say a word to me nor even look at me. I stood there for 20 seconds or so, wondering if he would ever look at me and ask me what I’d like to order. He didn’t, so I asked if he was ready to take my order and he nodded. I ordered my pita and he asked, “what?” He didn’t hear my order because he had an earbud in one of his ears. The other worker had one in as well. I cannot believe how completely unprofessional and rude that is and how that could ever be acceptable in the food service industry. While the food is good and the prices have gone down (if you download the app) they didn't accept a coupon that was clearly expiring over a month after my visit. They said the coupon was for college students and the students were gone (covid-19 season) so they weren't accepting it...but the coupon was for May/June so the students would have been gone anyway, the service that sent the coupon (TapOnIt) isn't exclusive to college students (it's meant for community members), the coupon said nothing about providing a student ID, and the restaurant isn't even very close to the campus in town. When I was in college a few years ago, I would frequently go to this Pita Pit and it was great! You could use pocket points to get great deals on food and build whatever Pita you wanted.

When I returned to this location roughly a year ago, it was significantly worse (maybe new owner). The worker that served us was very rude. The location refused to accept pocket points deals directly now and instead redirects you to their personal app (which completely defeats the purpose of pocket points).
