I'm Adonis Allen from Season 8 of Ready To Love Dallas on OWN. I booked a party of 20 here this past weekend for my girlfriend's birthday. I'll start by saying this. The food was excellent and my girlfriend loved her seafood boil. I had chicken fingers and fries and fried calamari. I dont eat much seafood. We were disappointed thought becuase the bar tender refused to serve mixed drinks because he was "overwhelmed" and only served beer and shots. Never experienced anything like that in my life. Luckily some of my guests had their own bottles in the car so most of us had our own drinks. Our server understood and didn't stop us so that was cool. She didn't agree with the bartender limiting drinks either. Her service was great and she took great care of my girlfriend, my friends and I. So if you go here, you'll eat well, the music was on point, atmosphere was great, and the vibe was great. Just be prepared to possibly have to bring your own mixed drink material if that same bartender becomes "overwhelmed."

We are visiting Texas from Pennsylvania for the Texas2K24 racing event and the guys wanted crawfish. I told them about this spot that I seen in passing. When we got there, staff clearly looked overwhelmed but they all carried themselves well and handled everything perfectly. We started at the bar until a table was available and the bartender was friendly and gave suggestions on the menu as well as told us the difference between some of the choices. The food was amazing and our server who also happened to be the manager (Priscilla I believe was her name) didn’t tell us she was the manager until the end. She was accommodating to our party of 6 and helped all around every part of the restaurant. She offered to take our picture noticing that we were not from the area. The place was clean and everyone was friendly despite the fast paced, busy atmosphere. We are referring The Crafty Crab to others we are here with and also took home menus. Definitely a 5 star for us!

I went on a date, and we were craving seafood, so we decided to check this place out. Let me start by saying—the customer service was terrible! We sat at the bar, and no one offered us water, a menu, or even a simple greeting. It was so bad that I had to turn around and ask, “Is anybody working today?” The food was mediocre at best, but I’ll give them credit—the drinks were on point. No one checked on us while we were eating, and when I asked for lemons, they didn’t bring them until I was already done. The crazy part? There were at least five employees just hanging out, and with only about six customers in the whole place, you’d think service wouldn’t be an issue. Instead of helping, they were making drinks—for themselves! When they finally did talk to us, they were cool, but overall, the experience was a disappointment. Safe to say, I won’t be going back!

Food was tasty, served in a bag and a lot for your money. I believe our server was green, and the place recently opened. Had to ask for a crab cracker and eating utensils that are plastic. I use a metal fork for splitting the leg shells. They could use Joe's tools. One kudo, because it was my birthday, I got a free slice of Key Lime Pie. It's supposed to be Cajon, so there is some spice, the wife has a delicate stomach, so we had just butter and garlic seasoning. When we first got in, it looked like a sports bar with all but two tvs tuned to a football game or something in sports. Then again, being after 6 pm, it was thin of customers. Price wise, it was about the same as its predecessor. I recommend it for the crab lover in you. Next time, I just might try what looked like Blackened Tilapia.

The Food At Crafty Crab was Delicious and fresh. I ordered the fried catfish basket with shrimp and fries. The catfish basket normally comes with multiple pieces of fish. But it looks like they cut a whole fillet in half and made it stretch. (I was alittle disappointed because of that) But I will rate my overall experience a 7.5 (since my fish was halved.) My server customer service was great! I do believe that they might need to train their staff a little more about how the kitchen works. The atmosphere was immaculate! This location used to be a Joes Crab Shack. But crafty crab definitely made it look way better especially with the big screen for every sporting event! I will definitely recommend this place to anyone feeling Shellfish
