Cedar Hill Pointe — Attraction in Cedar Hill

My family would go on Sundays. The place always had a decent crowd-it's buffet so that wasn't a surprise. It's decor is nice and woodsy, paying a bit of homage to its name. Food tasted okay. The fruit bar was decent and, if you were lucky, you might get the opportunity to see someone prep the sushi.

What disgusted me? Thing one: Walking across the floors in heels (which was always oily-slippery, you know, the kind of slip that only occurs when no cleaning agent was used to clean the floors. If you've worked BOH as a server or chef in a restaurant, then you know what I'm talking about). Thing two: i would almost always have someone's lipstick/post- meal parting shot either struck on or floating in my drink. EWWW!

Here recently, I've found myself visiting a place called Rice Garden on Camp Wisdom Rd. Its not as aesthetically appealing to the eye as BP but it's worth the trip.Theres not a sushi station but they do have a stir fry station where you can pick ingredients personally fried to your liking, in addition to the buffet. The food's nice and hot, fruit is fresh and of course, no floaties-on the floor...

First ate here at the bamboo palace 7 years ago when i moved to cedar hill, and i was not impressed. So my wife and I thought we would try again see if anything has changed. And honesy really hasn't. Buffet is your basic Chinese buffet. Your typical Chinese food, little american and sushi tossed in. Some dishes have little to no flavor, while others are decent. Desert is usually fruit, some zort of star cookie, water flavored chocolate pudding, or somethong else. It needs a change. Bout the best thing i had was the peper beef. As far as price its moderately prices. Bout 60 for a family of 4 [3...

Took 45 minutes from the moment we pulled into the drive thru to even order our food. Then took 25 more minutes to get to pay for it, then 20 minutes to get our food after we paid for it. The girl was too busy facetiming someone on her phone showing off how her jeans were fitting than to come to the window after trying to flag someone down. Entire staff seems very unprofessional. Attempted to ask what was the hold up and the cashier decided to get an attitude instead of trying to resolve the issue or answer our questions. Will not be coming back to this...
