The place is really nice, upon entry your presented with a clean organized environment with an open airy dinning room , decor is modern and bright. Seating is comfortable and spacious. The service was a little strange, made me feel like a child for ordering chocolate milk. I ordered a good amount of food as I like to try a variety of things when at a new spot. The Chicken fried steak and eggs was not terrible, the eggs were cooked perfectly and the sausage gravy was delicious. The CFS itself is just a standard Ben E Keith or Sysco type CFS, it would be much better if homemade, the biscuit is a 10/10 delicious. The potatoes or home fries i believe they were called were good just dont add the jalapeños as they are outta a can not fresh so the taste from those kills the actual flavor of the spuds. Chicken and Waffles was similar, pre-made chicken tenders, and the waffles themselves were amazing, the spicy syrup is good as well, although IMO a little sour. I ordered the blueberry muffin but didn't get it so no review there. The cheesy grits were ok but needed a little more cheese as you couldn't quite taste it. All in all food was Hot, fresh, and out on the table in about 12 min. The Pineapple mimosa was decent but lacked Pineapple juice. The chocolate milk was standard Hershey syrup and wasn't very flavorful. All in all I will definitely give it another try. I would stick to fresh breakfast items though nothing breaded as they seem to be pre-made and lack flavor compared to the rest...
Read moreADD THIS TO YOUR GO-TO PLACES - you won't regret it! Found this little gem when I was out looking for a proper sit-down breakfast at 6:00 a.m. on a Sunday (nothing is open in Leander at that hour, or so I thought). Better priced than First Watch, with a traditional breakfast menu (think Waffle House but better quality), and a LOT more options if you want something other than breakfast. I went for the The Classic ($10.99 for eggs, bacon or sausage, home frits OR grits, AND toast). The service was fast and friendly (thanks Kyla!), and they have sweet and savory options, as well as breakfast sandwiches, salads, omelets, etc. If you can't decide, you can also add buttermilk pancakes to any entree for $4.99 (what a deal!). Everything is clean, bright, and inviting, including the restrooms. It's tucked away behind the Starbucks/Dunkin' Donuts next to the Cedar Park Wal-Mart, but well worth a little detective work to find. Parking is ample, lots of great food for a reasonable price, and it's locally owned and operated (thank you Michael and Rana Boselah), so you can feel good about that too. :) Yes, I could have stayed home this morning and cooked eggs, but they wouldn't have been this delicious, or come with all...
Read moreMy partner and I eat breakfast/brunch out every Saturday and Sunday usually in Cedar Park. We decided to try this new place (open less than two months) based on it's 4.6 rating. The best description I can think of is that it's like Snooze from wish.com.
We were disappointed. Our service was lackluster. The mimosas were not good at all and tasted like a bottled or canned drink rather than a freshly made glass of juice and sparkling wine.
The food was absolutely bland and had weird textures. My partner ordered the chimi steak scramble and said it had no flavor at all. My Goodness Gracious omlette was flat, kind of slimy and had no flavor at all. It was topped with sliced tomatoes which must have been cold because my whole plate was barely room temperature. I got the plain grits and a side of sourdough toast. They were okay but I have had better everywhere.
Meanwhile, we were seated next to the hostess stand and they were terribly unorganized so we got to listen to the whole 30-minute conversation about who was working what sections and how "this is not going to work". Kind of a hot mess. :)
This might be a good place with more experience and time but for now, we'll be...
