Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Cedar Park

I’ve never had a bad smoothie from Tropical Smoothie before but I guess there’s a first time for everything 😢 I always order my smoothies without sweetener and I specifically like to order the detox island green since it naturally comes without the additional sweetener. Usually it’s a slightly acquired taste but it’s super enjoyable, but the one I got today tasted super chemically, like if maybe the fruit and veggies are being stored in containers that had some kind of cleaning solution left on them or like maybe the blender didn’t get completely washed? I’m not sure as to the why, but dang for $6 I’m just a bit dissapointed to be concerned with the safety of what I’m drinking. No hate to tropical smoothie at all, everyone is always super sweet and nice and the place is clean as a whistle. I’m hoping that next time it...

I was inspired to visit Tropical Smoothie Cafe after watching a YouTube blog. The YouTuber had the jerk wrap and raved about how delicious it was.

I'm a natural cynic so I took with a grain of salt but decided to try it for myself. The YouTuber was right... It was delicious. I went on a Saturday night. The place was super clean and staff was prompt in their reception as I entered. Everyone was super friendly.

I had the Southwest wrap and my boyfriend has the turkey club flat bread sandwich. Both were super tasty and satisfying. The prices were affordable and the quality was superb.

I have been to tropical smoothie many times and had no problems, but my experience today was horrible. I order three items: two smoothies and a food item. We received one smoothie and the food item. Waited for 20 minutes before approaching the counter again to ask about the other smoothie i ordered, where I was then ignored by 3 worker, one of which was on his phone. The young girl who took my order in the first place was nowhere to be seen. Eventually that young girl came back so I asked her about my missing smoothie. I waited again for it, only to receive the wrong smoothie in the end. Don't know what was up with the atmosphere today. But customer service was not on top...
