I have been a frequent customer of panda ever since I moved to cedar in 2013, and I have always had a pleasant experience. They have an impressive menu with plenty of delicious and affordable options. I usually call ahead and place my order over the phone. The food is cooked fresh, so there's about a 10 minute wait, which is conveniently just enough time for me to stop at an ATM for cash on the way. I am always eager & happy to support small businesses, especially those locally operated right here in cedar springs. With all of the corporate fast food restaurants around the 17 mile / white creek area, panda chinese can be easy to overlook, but I would highly recommend supporting this small family-owned business, by treating yourself to some of their scrumptious food. The business owners prefer cash payments, since credit card processing fees are quite expensive; however there are many nearby gas stations and banks with easily accessible ATMs, so meeting their cash-only request isn't very difficult. Overall, I would highly recommend panda chinese restaurant, the prices are comparable to fast food, but the quality and proportions...
Read moreCalled and placed an order. We are new to the area and trying to frequent the local stores and restaurants we picked up a menu here a few weeks back today was the day to give them a try. The woman taking the order was short and to the point which is typical of most Chinese takeout places so I had no issues there. However the menu says nothing about being cash only or a charge for the card. Husband shows up to pick up our food is not acknowledged for a bit the rudely asked if he had already ordered. He it them know our order and it wasn't ready. No worries nice fresh hot food. But when the lady bright out the order same was rude and snappy because he didn't have cash. Rudely told him next time bring cash. While the did tasted great we won't be back. We try to support local but with so many other friendly options to go to in the area we won't order from here again. How you treat people is...
Read moreI've been enjoying this place for nearly 20 years (at 2 locations) and find the number of negative comments/reviews troubling. If you're looking for a franchised experience with off the rack, vendor supplied frozen proteins reheated for your convenience at a reduced price...look somewhere else. The owner and her assistant debone chicken on a daily basis, work their tails off and produce high quality meals. Treat them kindly and you will receive the same treatment in turn. Pretty basic premise. Oh, and bring cash. If you find that too troublesome, perhaps the franchise option with large overhead, precooked and highly processed options might be best for you. I'll miss this place and the owner when she finally hangs it up, due in part I'd imagine, to how rude...
