I visited this location on July 6th with my wife while on vacation at Grand Lake St. Mary's State Park.
Let me start by saying that nothing was terrible (except the "wasabi" (if that was what it actually was) that is available for the stale "sushi". It was so bad I nearly had to spit out the sushi roll. I've never had wasabi that tasted so vile in my entire life. It was terrible.
The rest of the food was just bland and tasteless. We've been to MANY Chinese and Asian buffets all over the United States, and we're generally able to find SOMETHING that stands out and was good. Here, the only thing we both agreed on that was "good" was a swiss roll on the dessert line that was probably from Aldi (The Ice Cream that was in the cooler was branded Aldi, so I assume).
Maybe we're spoiled with the Asian buffet we have in Toledo OH (the best we've ever been to), but we wouldn't go back to this place.
If you want bland, tasteless food, go for it. I'm sure some people like what they have to offer, but we felt cheated when we received the $24ish + Tip bill for...
Read moreWent at 3:25, between when they switch from lunch and dinner, and had pretty poor service to begin with, with my wife and 4 year old daughter. Went up to use the Mongolian grill and saw they had put steak out around 3:45. Got some and was confronted by waitress woman who said, "Just to let you know we are charging you dinner price, steak is only for dinner customers." Never in my life have I been confronted for getting something off a buffet during a lunch period and been told im getting up charged for it. If you don't want lunch people to have it then perhaps you shouldn't put it out during the lunch period? It's crazy to get so stingy about something like this but also be charging $6 for a 4 year old to eat half a...
Read moreCelina is my hometown. This was where we went to eat when we visited. We always used to go here. The owners are terrific people, the food is excellent. Lee know what foods I can have on the buffet(I'm gluten intolerant), so it's one of the few places I feel confident eating from the buffet itself. I'm just sad I can't have anything made on the Mongolian grill. They don't clean the grill often enough or have a dedicated grill. Because of this, the grill is contaminated with gluten from the lo mein noodles and soy sauce many customers have them grill. If it wasn't for this, it would be ideal for me because they allow you to put together the ingredients for your own sauce, unlike places where the sauces are...
