My first impression walking in here last summer- wow their coffee grinder is spotless. A decade ago an experienced barista taught me the quickest way to judge a coffee shop is how clean they keep their coffee grinder and it's bean hopper up top.

Every time I stop in, it's spotless. ContempoRoast is run by experienced coffee nerds that understand the importance of cleanliness to a consistently good cup of Joe. You can always expect friendly service and delicious coffee- ask for samples of what's on rotation for drip and pourover, they're happy to give you time to decide. If you get it in a mug, they'll run the mug under warm water to keep the coffee from cooling off. Little things that add up and up and up. Diamonds like these are few and far between, Centerville is quite spoiled now!

Happened to hear about ContempRoast and happily decided to check it out. Lots of good online info about the place, the owners, the coffees. Two goals for my visit: 1) something sweet, 2) explore the coffees. Greg's homemade, shop-baked, chocolate chip cookie exceeded my expectations for something sweet. The cookie was especially delightful, having been slightly warmed as suggested by one of two baristas. Exploring their coffees was simple enough by selecting the Drip Flight (Oro Blend, Huila Red, Diamond Dark, Cold Brew). All good. Came home with a bag of the Huila Red. I can't express how much I love this place!! Their baristas are always so kind, helpful, friendly and many more things! ❤️ They will always take time to make sure you are getting what you want, and that have some amazing recommendations. They are very knowledgeable in their own ways and the owner has a keen eye for coffee crafting and roasting! I go to a lot of coffee shops in this area and by far this is the one I go to the most, no matter who you are from liking a latte that's super sweet to the espresso brute you'll find something you love!
