What an experience to be noticing this custard place because of my friend Justin Kozuszek A legend in Germantown jumped on the fumble in the state championship football game, the longest one, and Ohio football history at the time the time ran out, and he threw the football up into the crowd to his mother. They still have it. She's very proud lol. his daughter works in here She is definitely a survivor. I knew about her big fall years ago almost was paralyzed. She's resilient young lady.
I thought oh my gosh it's a weekday and I shouldn't be eating any custard but I had already just eaten lunch next-door. Yes, it's my weakness I hadn't had an ice cream of any kind in six months. They do have a sugar less sugar Custer by the way, they didn't have it made everything is made fresh right the way I understand it.
They had the trainers there from the family of the ownership from the Carolinas. Charlotte the place was buzzing all the weekday. I really had a great experience. Everybody's attitude was amazing, including Justin's daughter, but she was leaving lol as I said, where is the Kozuszek she said that's me.
As I finished the first custard, my brain was saying I want another one, and as the young man part of the ownership group training made me the second one. I told him. Oh my gosh now I'm high for the first one, but it was still an amazing experience. It tasted really great. I'm happy I ate two of them. Lol thanks everybody as I was trying to get a picture of everyone. My phone went dead. Sorry for the delay in...
Read moreWhit’s Frozen Custard is absolutely top-tier when it comes to ice cream. It’s not just the creamy, delicious custard that makes it stand out, but also the unique and nostalgic setting. Located in what was once an old mechanic shop, the modern decor still manages to capture the charm and history of the space, giving it a vibe that’s both retro and fresh. It’s the kind of place that instantly feels special.
Now, let’s talk about the banana split—it’s phenomenal. I’m a big fan of a classic banana split, and Whit’s has perfected it. From the creamy custard to the generous toppings, everything about it screams quality. I’ll admit, I’m usually pretty set in my ways and stick to the ice cream shops I grew up with, but Whit’s completely won me over. It’s the rare exception to my “no new places” rule, and I’m so glad I gave it a try.
One of the best parts? My office is just around the corner. It’s dangerously convenient, and I’ve definitely used the excuse of needing a “healthy lunch” to justify grabbing a banana split every now and then. Life’s all about balance, right?
If you haven’t been to Whit’s yet, you’re missing out. Whether you’re a die-hard ice cream lover or just looking for a cool spot with amazing treats, this place delivers....
Read moreWe’ve been twice and both times it was a pretty poor experience. First time we waited 45 minutes for ice cream which is pretty crazy for ice cream. The second time my wife received her ice cream and mine didn’t show. Went back to the front counter to ask how much longer the wait would be and the response was “we already turned the the machine” which was sad. They still got my order to me but come on…
Honestly we’re not terribly surprised both nights we were there it seemed like things were being ran by kids with very little direction or discipline. For custard it’s not worth the experience. Less than two blocks down is a Greaters with a much better product and vastly better experience.
I understand the owners are local so I hate to leave a low score but you have to own the experience and after two visits it doesn’t seem like there has been any improvement.
Pic is from the night my wife finished her ice cream before I even received mine because they turned off the custard machine before...
