Huddle House — Restaurant in Central City

I do not eat here often, however the times that I have been here have been great experiences with indoor dining. This particular occasion that I went was an evening for a party of two. We were greeted in a hurried manner by a waitress who quickly announced to us that she was the only waitress on staff that night. Once seated, the waitress quickly got our drinks but the rest of our experience was absolutely horrible. It took her forever to come around and take our order. To be honest it was difficult to even place our order with her. When we ordered our meal combos, she questioned what was in the meals we ordered and actually read the menu herself out loud to recite the options to us because she herself did not know the menu. It was really unprofessional and actually kind of rude. When we got our food she neglected to bring Cutlery for both the of us. Upon noticing this, I went up to the counter and politely asked her for silverware and some butter. The woman literally rolled her eyes at me when this was clearly caused by a mistake that fell on her shoulders, not mine. We never once were asked if we wanted to refill or if the food was okay. We were there over the course of an hour and a half and simply ordered two meals with fairly easy food orders. There was nothing so complicated that we should have been there for an hour and a half. This place is specifically known for their breakfast which is available 24 hours a day. Nothing we ordered was difficult to prepare or hard to remember (pancakes, bacon, grits, etc.) but I never even got my entire order throughout this visit! The Grits that I ordered were never brought to me and I had every intention of letting her know that I was still waiting on them when she came around to check our drinks. Since she never came around to actually check on us one time during our dining experience, I never had that opportunity to do so. I should probably add the fact that this place was entirely empty when we arrived. It was not busy at all and throughout our entire visit only gained two more tables of patrons. This was clearly not an issue of Staffing numbers or business booming. This was lazy, rude and incompetent employees. Food was great that's about it! Walked in got coffee fast, was told by waitress she will be back in a minute to take our order, after half way drinking my coffee I could tell my husband was getting uptight and I told him im about to walk out! Now if she was busy that's one thing but we were the only customers sitting to eat! Finally got our order in that she did NOT put in right away I might add! We get our food and then and only then did she get more coffee and only gave my husband half a cup, now to be fair there was not enough coffee but never have I come across anywhere else were more coffee was needed to be made and not been told, I'm sorry I need to put more coffee on and I bring more. Nope not a word just walked off! Then to top it off no bill the other server had to go and find her so we could pay! This was the taller lady with dark hair at 10pm on the 5/27/2023. I wish I had taken notice of her name as I was disgusted! I will leave it at...the tip she got was in line with the service she gave!!! Never again will we be eating there or...

I had a horrible experience 😞 dishes still sitting on the table that were empty from the customer.. me and my Family sat down waited 10-15 minutes for a waitress to come to take our order, I over heard the waitress asking to leave order ,because she had a party to go too! Then when my food came, it wasn't close to what I order..then my fiance didn't want to eat his meal because we always eat together. Our waitress left. Then I flagged down another waitress to let her know my order was wrong.. she put in my order again ,and once again got my order wrong!!! I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, and hash browns with onions and cheese. I got a fried chicken sandwich, and just hash browns.. by this time I was really hungry.. Known my fiance food is cold,waiting on my order. and they still wanted me to pay for the meal that they messed up!! I told them No!! I paid for what I ate..

This waffle House needs to be trained how to take order. And clean up..
