I went with a party of 6 (5 adults, one toddler). At first things seemed to be good, but after ordering food it went downhill. The first two people ordered salads, the third ordered pasta, salad, and bread, the fourth ordered meatballs, salad, and bread, fifth was pizza, and sixth was appetizer meatballs and fried mushrooms (the order is important). The appetizer meatballs and mushrooms and the 4th persons salad came out but nothing else at that time. Then, out came the meatball and breadsticks for person 4 and the pizza for myself (person 5). We waited at least 20 minutes with no signs of any food for the first three people (three salads, pasta, and bread). Our waiter had disappeared so we asked another waitress where the food was. She went to look and a few minutes later our waiter finally showed stunned we were asking for the food we ordered. After another wait (at this point we'd been there a good 45+ minutes, and the restaurant wasn't busy), he finally shows up with everyone else's order sans the bread for the pasta. We asked for that and refills (he never asked if we needed any refills, we had to ask). He couldn't keep our glasses straight when he did the refills. Then, bread took another 10-15 min so we were done eating when it arrived.
As for the food quality, it was very meh. I had a small pizza with bacon, Canadian bacon, mozarella, and spinach. The pizza was swimming in water and toppings couldn't stay attached. My kids' mushrooms and meatballs were ok but bordering overcooked, and the mushrooms were VERY greasy (yes, I get they're fried, but this was a bit extreme...). Definitely not a place I think I'll be returning to any...
Read moreI visited this restaurant on a Sunday at 4:00pm upon arrival I was the only customer there. My first observations were that all the tables and seats needed wiped down. There wasn’t a place to sit that didn’t have food on the table chairs or booth seats. I still decided to give it a try…the kid who was working was very awkward and seemed like he didn’t quite know what he was doing. He also was sitting at the bar eating while I was sitting in the booth still waiting to order. The cooks I could hear yelling in the kitchen and making weird sounds like bird calls or something. Let’s move on to the food that I ordered. I ordered the cheese tortellini Alfredo which had no flavor whatsoever and was very watery. The sauce was definitely heated in the microwave….the middle was warm and everything else was Luke warm. Now the bill that I initially got was $15 even that’s with tax when I went to pay the new bill was $15.45. I asked what the .45 charge was and the kid couldn’t tell me. So let’s say 100 people visit your establishment everyday for the year and you charge .45 to each bill. That come out to about $17,000 per year for a random charge. If you are going to add money to the bill when it’s time to pay that should before hand and disclosed what it’s for. I feel like if that the case where it’s a charge in every bill you are stealing $17,000 a year from your customers. Anyway I will never return to eat there and I will be telling my coworkers about this experience. There is a lot of money that stays in that hotel next door that you could possibly be...
Read moreWe’ve been to Joes a few times as a family. Though the food is generally good for a chain pizza place, the service has always been a bit “off.” We went in last Thursday and had the weirdest/worst experience yet. We came in as a family of five, with 2 kids and a baby. Immediately sat and drink order taken. Our drinks were all soft drinks and one beer. The beer was delivered very promptly. We were perusing the menus and making our decisions. It was about 7:15 when we walked in. The bartender came over to the table and asked my husband if he wanted a refill, to which my daughter asked if we could get our soft drinks (she’s five). The bartender seemed alarmed so she said she’d be right back. She never returned. Nor did our server. We had a server come give the kids goodie bags. Our menus were still on the table, still no drinks. We’re nearing 30 minutes into sitting there by now. Time continues to pass, a server walked by where again, my five year old, asked if our food was getting ready. The server just smiled at us. Menus still on the table, no drinks at the table. We gave them about 45 minutes in total and ended up walking out. As we were leaving the manager who was sitting at the bar (within complete view of our table across the room, the entire time we were there) said to us to “have a good night”. I guess we got a free beer? But some very upset children. We left after 8. Went to Tequilas and had...
