I love the Capital Diner. A locals favorite. Has all the no-nonsense charm of a classic American diner. Route 66 and other roadside décor on the wall backed up with solid homestyle cooking. Specialty of the house is a savory chipped beef gravy served over homade biscuits, toast or hash. Daily lunch specials different every day, and my favorite - crispy coated French fries, hot and crispy are not to be missed. Desert pies and cakes are made in-house too. Located at the point of North 2nd and Broadway it is a great place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.. See you there!

Very cozy little diner at the end of town. Not very expensive and you get alot of food. The mashed potatoes and gravy aren't the greatest, but everything else was delicious. They have many varieties of homemade desserts and ice cream.

This little cafe is a perfect place to grab some breakfast. They customized a feta omelette for me and were able to sub a side as well. Excellent service, great food at a very fair price. Thanks!

Typical American diner menu. We ordered the chopped steak and the he meatloaf. The meatloaf was 2 small slices about 3/8" thick - very skimpy for the price. The mac & cheese was really bad. Pasta was completely mush as if this was frozen and then thawed. It had unidentifiable lumps that weren't cheese. Better half and I both thought it looked like scrambled eggs. Yuk - dont try this. Diner was old looking and needs a refresh from the circa 1970's hiding behind vintage posters and signs. Tho only high point was the home-made apple dumpling - delicious. Our waitress was very cheerful and accommodating. Thumbs up for her. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this place as the food is what...

Very underwhelming. I had their patty melt. Burger needed seasoned. Quite bland. A bit of salt helped. My lunch mate had the chicken breast on toasted roll. Again, bland. Asked for a little mayo and a little ranch dressing. Ranch came out in a container, as expected. Mayo was overly applied. Small parking lot for about 8 vehicles. Interior of the restaurant is rather out dated. Wide tape covering rips in the booth cushions. This was our servers first day and did fairly well for not being shadowed. Probably not going to be in our rotation...
