Antiguo Lobo — Restaurant in Chamblee

We had greats laughs, some food, and strong drinks @antiguolobo in #chambleega on Foodie Friday!!

Here is what we had:

Queso Fundido with added chorizo ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ This here was amazing. Stringy, hot Chihuahua cheese with seasoned chorizo in the middle. The warm tortillas they give you in the side is perfect for holding the cheese and this flavorful meat. Awesome!!

Enchiladas Verdes ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Not bad. Some of the ingredients could have used more seasoning to give it more pop.

Hibiscus Tacos Fried hibiscus flower, refried beans, avocado, pickled veggies ❤️❤️❤️❤️ This was good we figured out another veggie we like. #veggietacos

The drinks here were strong and tasty, though I can't remember the name of the drinks. You can tell they have a good bar tender, not just someone serving drinks.

We found the customer service just okay.

Overall, it wasn't bad at all, but not a place we have to double back too considering we have so many amazing Mexican spots in Atlanta.

Had the Steak Sombrero Bowl. The Portion size was excellent and the steak was very flavorful. The chips and salsa were also great. Went around 6 pm.

The place was very busy and the music was a tad too loud to have a enjoyable conversation with others in your party, unless you raised your voice or you just not want to talk. Music was great music, but too much loud of a good thing. This is not a date spot to get to know someone type of place. Take someone you know and don't want conversation with.

Service was ok. The couple next to us could not even get a server, took them about half-hour+ for them to acknowledge them after being seated. The host was much more friendly than the servers.

Now, what surprised me is that a child was with us and dropped some grains of rice on the floor. When leaving I was going to pick them up and pulled up the table covering🤨😳....and rice was not nothing to the absolutely dirty concrete floor, with black around the leg of the table. Picking up the rice specks wouldn't help the accumulated stuff gathered for days, weeks, or possibly months. So this really bumped the review down because of all places you would think they would have kept this place of food...

Our recent visit to Antiguo Lobo-Chamblee was just as delightful as our first. The food remains consistently delicious, fresh, and flavorful. From the appetizers to the entrees, everything we tried was a hit.

The restaurant's ambiance is inviting and relaxed, making it a perfect spot for a date, a night out with friends, or even a solo dining experience.

We were lucky enough to be served by Pedro once again. His exceptional service and expertise on the menu made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Pedro's recommendations were spot on, and his friendly demeanor added to the overall atmosphere. Pedro goes over and beyond to make sure we are having a wonderful experience, and he is extremely accommodating. He’s awesome!!! 🤩
