I come from Singapore and recently moved here so I was really elated to find food back from home pretty close to me, especially a vegan restaurant since we are vegetarians. Me and my husband dined here yesterday and we liked the food. We ordered olive fried rice (was really good and authentic), lemak curry and curry chicken. I would like to comment though that the restaurant kitchen should be more generous with the curry portion of the lemak curry and curry chicken, especially the lemak curry. There was so little curry amongst the huge cut vege. Since I dislike okra and brinjal and huge cut tomatoes, I really only ordered the dish for the gravy and the tofu, and while I get that not liking those vegetables is my problem, anyone who wants to eat it with the rice it is served with would definitely need more of that gravy. I was literally hunting for the gravy under those vegetables from the beginning of eating the dish, so that was a put off. The restaurant should be more mindful of how customers would eat it or enjoy the dish, especially since the price you are charging is not cheap. I also didn’t expect the tofu to be silken tofu, but it was nevertheless nice, just not what I’m used to with this dish. Also, the customer service could be better. No one came to us to take our order although they were standing right there at the cashier and waiting so I presumed we had to go to the cashier and order ourselves. I stood up and went to the cashier and was told they will come to me. Well then what were you waiting for? They were not busy or occupied at that time. Please take my review as constructive feedback, I really love this place and definitely will be back again. I just hope some of the above things can...

I used to love this place however recently it seems like when I place an order every once in awhile they don't get it right. I always spend 90 to at least $180.00 every time I go there. Unfortunately my last trip there, is going to be my last trip to that restaurant.

let me start by saying they are good people and their food is great. I've ordered from there many times before and usually the order is correct.

Yesterday I went there and ordered food to last me for the week; unfortunately, both my olive fried rice orders were incorrect; they put mushrooms in my food and string beans in the food, which I'm allergic to. This was something I specifically asked them to omit when I placed the order. I came home and put all the food in the refrigerator without checking.

Today, I took the food back to show them that I couldn't eat the food because of the mushrooms, I even showed them, where my credit card was billed by them, for the food I paid for. She the food back, but it became a problem to replace the orders they messed up.

Prior to going back today I called and explained the issue on the phone. They told me to go pick up the food in 15 mins.

I got there and it became an interrogation. after I waited there a while, it became apparent that they wanted me to purchase a new order, even though, I never opened the food at all. It's a good restaurant but I won't be eating there any longer. For a customer who has been going and eating there for years, I should not be treated and repeatedly questioned like a criminal in order to get the order...

I’m vegan and have always supported this restaurant. I’ve taken many people here to eat and have enjoyed every experience except the most recent one last night. my bf & I came in at 8:25 and were told the kitchen closes at 8:30 and the restaurant closes at 9. We both have worked in customer service for years and have worked in restaurants before. We ordered at 8:29 and our food was brought out promptly. Our bill was $125 and I asked for to go containers and we paid for the bill while still eating out of respect for their hours. We were not planning to camp out all night. There also was another table of 5–6 people who were eating and talking so we did the same. At 9:00 on the dot we were told the restaurant is now closed so we felt rushed to start packing our food. They were constantly taking every individual dish away from the table as I was actively scooping our food in the boxes. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable at a restaurant before. It was rude and unnecessary to hover over us as we’re getting our food into our containers ad quickly as possible. We left the restaurant at 9:10. A whole ten minutes after closing time. That’s the last time I’m supporting Mamak Vegan. The food is delicious but the service made me never want to step foot in there again. Thank you for the wonderful food and service on every other occasion I’ve visited over the years tho. I hope this is seen by the employees and management so this won’t happen to any...
