Kyo Matcha — Restaurant in Champaign

I had the hojicha latte float (roasted green tea). The ice cream was very good, smooth and creamy but the latte itself was bland. Hojicha was too sweet and had very little tea flavor. Ice cream was hojicha and black sesame flavored, it melted before I could really get a taste of it on its own. This drink was very expensive at $8.50 and substitute milk was $1.25 for about 2 ounces of milk. Would have tried some sweets, but they were almost all over $10.

WAY TOO MUCH ICE!! 2 out of 5 because I’m very disappointed by the amount of ice. I paid over 9 dollars for a matcha drink and it’s 80% of ice as the picture shows. The ice cream is good and is supposed to neutralize with the unsweetened matcha. Went in on Valentines Day for a last minute treat. We were all new to the place. We all either tried the Lavender Matcha or the matcha soft serve.
