I got the regular pizza with pepperoni. The pizza was good but too small and the crust was too thin for my liking. Some of the pizza tasted burnt. Also the plastic bag felt moist even though the box the pizza came in was dry. And there was only one paper napkin which was oily so it wasn’t even clean. I rather get frozen pizza.

Edit: Hello owner thanks for the response, and yes I did go eat with my sibling. However, I do not like how you try to come up with lame explanations to justify my bad experience with your business. Yes it was my mistake for ordering "regular" sized pizza for two people. I would have ordered a "large" one instead but didn't realize the portions until later. Still, for you to say that people who do not like THIN pizzas should not eat at any traditional Italian Neapolitan pizza restaurant is overstepping it. First of all not everyone on campus is Italian. I'm not Italian, so how am I supposed to know that traditional Italian Neapolitan pizza restaurants serve THIN pizzas. Also, how am I supposed to know that your restaurant is eco-friendly and follows FDA food portion recommendations. Look I was just hungry and wanted pizza. Maybe you should advertise your pizzas as "Small THIN crust charring-burnt traditional Italian Neapolitan pizza" so people like me don't mistake it for oversized American fast food restaurant pizza. I also find it a little weird that you try to pin point the exact customer for each bad review. It seems like you have a perfectionist and obsessive attitude over google reviews. Like you've stated, thousands of people like Mia Za's pizza and that's why it has been in business for over 20 years. If so many people like it, why waste your time replying to me, one of the few bad reviews. Even worse, you're just telling me to go to another pizza place which I was going...

My friends and I were driving to see someone and wanted good local pizza for cheap. They offered large pizzas for under $8 so it appeared reasonable, but they wouldn't take orders over the phone so we were forced to download Doordash to order. We downloaded the app and made our own pizzas which was really nice at first. Altogether we ordered six pizzas and a two liter of Coca-Cola. Before the service fee, it was roughly $45, but after it shot up to over $60+ which wasn't too bad at first, but as soon as the pizzas were delivered it was really upsetting. They were smaller than any frozen pizza I've ever seen and the coke was not delivered even though it was paid for. The pizzas tasted fine , but were way too small for 6 guys hungry guys, and just NOT WORTH IT. I would've preferred Pizza Hut at that point. $60+ for the equivalent of three ACTUAL large pizzas and not a complete delivery. Very disappointing and I would not recommend this unless you want to be let down by the size. If it weren't for Doordash, the additional $20, and not receiving exactly what we paid for, it would be 4-5/5.

To the response from the owner: when we called, we were told we couldn't order over the phone and had to use doordash, that's on the business. And it's pathetic. Doordash's relationship with Mia Za's is the middleman, and it was a rip off. And it all comes back to being forced to use doordash to order. Update your system or something. P.S. The sizes aren't listed anywhere. 11" is not "Large" by any means. Edit 2: I appreciate you trying to make things right. The pizza tastes really good, but my issues are that we could NOT order without using Doordash, and that the sizes weren't listed. My local pizzeria of choice offers XL pizza (16") for only $9.00, so I was hoping to find something close...

I initially tried this place a few years ago when I just moved to Champaign for school. From what I recall I don’t remember this place standing out much. For the type of food it is, I thought it was mediocre and the value was lackluster. Me and my girlfriend were going out for lunch a few days ago and I thought it would be a nice to give this place another chance and see if I just had a bad experience. From the food I received recently it seems like mediocrity is their standard. I wasn’t sure what to get so I decided to get their pizza of the month. It included an accumulation of basil, mozzarella, parmesan, Italian sausage, and hot Giardiniera. Overall I like all these toppings, and I had no doubt I would like the pizza. Well I was wrong. I wish I had a picture of how the pizza came out, it was a hot mess of toppings that were unevenly dispersed, on a pizza that looks like it was cut by a three year old. The pizza also just had a very bland taste, and none of the toppings stood out. What was specifically upsetting was the sausage and peppers. It lacked so much flavor and was very disappointing. I thought the portion for a regular pizza was fine and was enough for a lunch meal. I wish the price reflected that. For what you’re paying, the pizza has very little value. Another issue I had was the seating. The tables and chairs were very dated. There were rips all over the booth chairs. I wished I liked it, I love the concept of a place where you can get pizzas fast and fresh. I’ll continue to go to Manolo’s to treat my...

They Burnt my pizza Ambiance: Firstly the strategy of making the whole menu system with coloring the circles of ingredients on the menu page one wants in their dish is good but the whole page system makes the waiting area really untidy due to the pages lying down and thrown here and there. On that their coloring pens are also never working or finished. The seating/dining area is good. Food: They literally burnt my pizza. It was my first time at Mia Za's Pizza and I was disappointed by the fact that they burnt it. And then didn't replace it. Also, it was a full size big pizza. My friends ordered pasta which seemed good. Service: The service was fast but so was there over to the highest degrees. The staff was friendly and welcoming but needs to pay attention in rush hours. Value for money: I'll say totally. Even though my first experience wasn't that good. The service, quantity and food here is great and that's what I have heard from others. I look forward to going sometime soon.

I live hours away from this place and will look for excuses to come down this way just to go get takeout - I love me some Mia Za's. You can build your own pasta by selecting your choice of noodles, choice of sauce, and up to seven toppings. You can add a generous side of garlic bread and a fountain drink. There are options for portion sizes available as well. The salads are delicious - our favorite is the pear and goat cheese salad. Pizzas are customizable, just like the pasta, and delicious as well. There are quite a few interesting flavored drinks to choose from and great dessert options. Mia Za's is excellent if you're a vegetarian. The staff here works hard and is amazing - they really deserve big kudos! Parking is usually a challenge, so be prepared to walk a couple of blocks - totally worth it!
