Taco Bell — Restaurant in Champaign

Horrible!!! They had no meat prepared or ready at 10pm tonight...... They wanted us to wait 20 minutes while they cooked the meat they unpreparedly ran out of. So we left to get food elsewhere. They were prepared and had a good meal.. versus no meal at the WORST & MOST UNPREPARED RESTRAUNT IN CHAMPAIGN.

What type of restraunt doesn't pay attention to their inventory and run out of your products (MEAT) This is Taco Bell NOT the Soup Plantation....Taco Bell is NOT a restraunt without meat, Meat is a REQUIREMENT for Taco Bell or Hell tonight. Ownership needs to Fire THESE LAZY Employees (using loosely sense a real employee is always prepared no matter what) Ownership should be very embarrassed of themselves hiring clueless people to ruin their business. It cost them Hundreds of dollars tonight alone. We had 10 people who were going to order, 3 cars left in front and the 8 cars behind did as well once they learned this Taco Bell had NO FOOD...

I went during my lunch break and ordered two tacos and a cheesy fiesta potato on the self service machine. As I was waiting a worker named Carrie apologized that they ran out of potatoes and offered me a substitute or refund I asked for a refund and she told me it would be just a moment the manager on staff is new and needed to call and see how to do refunds, I said that was no problem. The manager rudely told Carrie she didnt need to be telling that while she was on the phone trying to figure out how to do a refund. Carrie deserves a promotion to manager since clearly she understand customer service and being polite especially when someone is coming on their lunch break. Review update 3/13/2025: see photo of item smothered in “caliente” sauce. That’s how I was served my food. Uhh…. Yeah… no thanks. Lol. Removing a star because even though this location is pretty good most the time, you can get unlucky like today

Also, the roof and painting was redone in summer 2024 and building looks nice.

Friendly drive thru employees every time that I’ve gone there. Orders are accurate almost 100% of the time that I’ve gone there.
