Overall, a good experience but I don't think this is how restaurants establish a foothold in this community. What I ordered came with both jalapeños and sour cream. There were no jalapeños to be found, and the sour cream was mixed in to my meat and veg, but not like a sauce. Just kind of chunkily marbledd in. I do wish the menu made that clear, because I definitely didn't like that being what happened to my sour cream. Also, for the price I paid, the portion of entree was tiny. My companion got fajitas which was at the same price point and received easily 3 times more food than I did. Over 1/3 of my plate was taken up by shredded lettuce, which I guess was a salad? Aside from that, the food tasted good. Excellent horchata, in fact. Margarita was so-so. The salsa was good. The service was good, also. I just get irked when things aren't prepared as the menu describes. Also, don't expect consomme with the birria tacos. It only comes with the birria quesadilla. The taco just contains the meat from inside the consomme, and it is quite dry. Even with the consomme (which I asked about and got even though it's not supposed to be included) it was dry. I had a hard time swallowing it, TBH. It did taste good, though. I used a GotSpot voucher and they didn't treat me poorly, and didn't charge me for the taco, I guess because of the confusion. Nothing stood out that made me say, "I'm going back there soon for (X)!" But I'm definitely willing to try other menu items. I like to leave...

The place was beautiful. I rode by one day and really wanted to try it. Tonight I took my family for my boyfriends bday dinner. We were seated immediately only to wait 30 minutes for someone to take our drink order. We watched as new people entered the restaurant and had their drinks immediately upon arrival and orders were taken. We didn’t even know who our server even was because they never came to check on. I had to flag down a server to get our drink order. After we got our drinks and our order was taken we had to wait an hour for our food. When the food finally came my mothers taco salad didn’t have all the ingredients listed on the menu and my boyfriend ordered a spicy burrito meal which didn’t have all the ingredients listed on the menu as well. The burrito shell was small and dry. He was so disappointed he didn’t even eat his food. My mother didn’t eat her food either. We asked for them to take the meals off the bill and they tried to charge us gratuity for a party of 6 and we only had 5 people. The meat on all meals tasted old. My sons corn dogs were burnt and he only got like 7 French fries on his plate. I’m glad we tried this restaurant and now we no never to come back. White people got way better service than us. We noticed how they were very efficient with them and not us. From now on we will go to Dos reales where we love the food, service and...

Food: 5 Stars. Great, wonderfully seasoned meats and veggies. Large portions but don't think for a second that that means lower quality. Not at all. This food is wonderfully cooked and seasoned well. A well stocked bar and great classic and New drink choices!

Service: 5 Stars. Wonderful and attentive wait staff who keep bother at a minimum (which I prefer).

Atmosphere: 5 Stars. From the mood lighting to the high ceiling this place has a great lively atmosphere for date night or a family meal. Oh yeah and for those of you who remember when Alexander's was in this building, they still got the huge flattop grill!

Additional comments: As of the time of this writing on 6/24/2024 there are HUGE Pot Holes on the north side service road. So I would advise Not coming in from the North side between Sweet Basil and Bob Evans (Specifically the road going WEst/East). Come in from Anthony Dr or...

This was a fanatic Mexican restaurant! Best one I’ve been to in Chambana in the 36 years I’ve lived here. The restaurant has a lovely and unique ambiance. The food was prepared and hot. Mine was on fire! I had the Fajita de Pina, a half pineapple filled with goodness, fajita chicken, fajita, steak, chorizo, cheese, and baked in a half a pineapple shell. On the menu it has shrimp instead of chorizo, but I am allergic to shell fish. It was out of this world!! My husband had the Chilaquiles, nacho tortilla chips with steak, cheese and two fried eggs. He loved it! And for dessert a sopapilla with ice cream. Had the perfect amount of whipped cream and sprinkles and the sopapillas were perfect and cinnamony. The portions were huge! I think mine will make four meals! A must try in Champaign (in the old Alexander’s Steak House).

The décor inside this restaurant is unique and quite cool, with a mix of rustic and traditional elements that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The setting feels cozy, thanks to the combination of partial brick walls, dark wooden furniture, and dim, warm-toned lighting. The stone-like archways give an old-European or Mediterranean vibe, while the patterned floor tiles add a classic touch. The menu is packed with a variety of traditional Mexican fare, from tacos and enchiladas to quesadillas and burritos. Spanish music plays in the background, adding to the authentic feel. The staff is friendly, and the service is good, complementing the nice mood lighting. We tried the quesabirrias and enchilada supreme—both tasted great and were served quickly. If you haven’t visited yet, it’s definitely worth a try!

Hacienda Agave is near my hotel, a 7-minute walk. It looks impressive outside and in. One drawback to the atmosphere is that the main room, by the bar, and the menu colors are so dark that it's difficult to read. 2020707: Once sat, two waiters came by each two minutes apart, asking for my order before I had opened the menu, with a "do ya know what ya want." The menu is large, and there was some duplication between "favorites" and the sections by type of food (burrito, fajitas, etc.) and meats (steak, seafood, etc.). No one offered advice. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with mole off the "favorites" section. It was very disappointing. Compared to other moles I've had, the sauce had no subtly, and the chicken was dry, I won't go back. You are better off going to Taco Bell.
