My family and I came to Culver’s for lunch today and I left feeling sick to my stomach. My order included a coffee and onion rings. I did not receive those items when the order came out. I went back to the counter and told them I was missing my order of onion rings and coffee. The individual at the counter yelled at another team member to make coffee. That’s individual start using profanity while making the coffee. I heard the other worker say to bring out the next order of onion rings to my table. The onion rings eventually came out but still no coffee. We finished eating and I went to the counter to redeem the free ice cream that comes with the kids meal. Place the order for ice cream told them I’m still waiting for coffee, the individual tells the other worker to get the coffee. He was just entering coming back from handing out food to the drive through customer. He proceeded to grab the coffee cup from the inside and he didn’t even bother to wash his hands. He was taking a long time so I went back to my table assuming I’ll get my coffee with the ice cream. Nope , that didn’t even happen. Ice cream came out and no coffee. I went up again, and the individual recognized that I was coming for the coffee. The coffee was just sitting on the counter and no one bothered to bring it out. The team member proceeded to get the coffee but it needed a lid. He walked past me put it finger onto the corner of his lips. He grabs a lid walks to the other side place the cap on and proceeded to touch the corner of his lips again and then handed me the cup. I threw out the coffee. That’s disgusting. He put his hand on his lips and touches food, how is that acceptable and hygienic? Did he have a sore? What right does Culver’s employee have to spread disgusting germs to their consumers. I was sick to my stomach and I allowed these people to serve my kids. I’ve been to this location numerous times and today was terrible. The employees were yelling at each other. Really unprofessional. How hard is it to get a cup of coffee? To wash hands? To be clean...
Read moreIt's difficult to understand how an order that is printed and taped to the outside of the bag cannot be checked to verify that it's compete and all ordered items are delivered to the customer. Multiple occasions I have ordered from the drive through and either the order was not taken completely, or the order was not compete when delivered. Given the measures in place to protect against COVID-19, I can understand not having customers inside the restaurant, but I should not have to dissect my order in the parking lot to validate its accuracy. This requires at minimum unbagging all items and then having to rebag them in the vehicle.
The person taking the order, while sounding completely disinterested in working, took the order accurately. When I asked to review the order, she skimmed over the main food items and did not seem willing to validate that what I ordered is what she entered into the computer. There is an order screen at the drive through stand, but when the order is big enough items scroll off the screen and are no longer visible. If the sun is shining on this screen it can be close to impossible to read.
The person who took my payment I did not believe to be the same person whom took my order. Also, the person that took my payment gave me my drinks. This is not necessarily unusual considering that the drink fountain is right there behind her, but how does this get communicated to the person that delivers the food to my vehicle to ensure that all parts of the order are delivered?
The person who delivered my food to my vehicle was yet another person. He simply validated that the number I had been given for my order was the correct number he had to deliver. This despite being given a "post-it" style number sticker that was visibly displayed on my driver side mirror.
I do not understand how order accuracy is such a challenging task. The only reason I did not give a 1* rating is because I wasn't missing any main food items this time - only custard and a...
Read moreThis my my Culver's experience:
Pull into drive through and sit behind guy who appears to be ordering for around 10 minutes. My passenger kept telling me to pull out and we will go somewhere else because his truck must be broken. He ends up pulling away and leaves the parking lot looking very upset. I pull up to order and wait for another few minutes (about 5 or so) while a long line piles up behind me. No one answers so I assume the drive-through isnt working. I pull around and see an employee and tell her the drive through speaker must be broken and she responds that the drive through is closed and they must have forgotten to put a sign up.
At this point, I understood and wasn't frustrated as it is something that could easily have been overlooked.
I go inside and all of a sudden notice that people are being helped at the drive through window. I tell the cashier and she doesn't even apologize or say anything after I ask why myself, and the guy in front of me, weren't helped .
Anyways, so I place my order and am about to pay and I realize that the numbers don't add up. Turns out she made a mistake and charged me for the large meal instead of the snack meal. Easy mistake (I used to work in fast food so I understand). She fixed it and I paid.
I waited over fifteen minutes to get my food. Even my passenger, who was in the car the whole time, questioned why it took so long and contemplated waiting outside because the car was starting to get hot while turned off.
Finally, I arrive home 5 minutes after leaving Culver's and open the bag to eat my meal. Turns out, the order on the receipt is correct but the food in the bag doesn't reflect the receipt.
This is the last time I will eat at Culver's. It is a shame because I live just up the road from this one. I have had nothing but terrible experiences at this...
