Currently in the pick up drive through. I arrived at 9:10 to pick up my online order. I waited here until 9:20 when finally a person came to the window to apologize for the wait. Then at 9:25, she returned to apologize about losing our order. They are now going to work on it. Then a new employee comes to the window, and says they have no chips left (We ordered two). He said I can have soda instead. I said we don't want soda, either refund the money for the chips, or give us a free burrito. He said he can't do a refund, but they found a bag of chips, and we can have that. So we're still down one bag of chips, but they're unable to refund items at this restaurant if they don't have the inventory.
Typically theft isn't a legal thing in most American establishments, but Brooklyn Park Chipotle apparently has the right to take your money, not give you what you ordered, and then pocket your money.
We've watched 17 groups receive their orders in the restaurant as we sit here at the drive through.
We received the food at 9:37. One of the burritos was unwrapped, and all the filling was spilling everywhere. I brought the food back in, and asked for a refund. I was told they do not do refunds. I pointed out we only got one chip, as well as half a half cup of queso that we paid for, and asked if I could at least get the money for the items they were unable to provide. I was told no.
I understand times are hard, and I totally understand busy nights at a restaurant - trust me, I did this for a living for a long time - but if you cannot provide the items a customer paid for, you do not get to keep the money.
I will absolutely never go to this location again, and plan on figuring out how to retrieve the money that was stolen from me...
Read moreStopped in for a burrito while I was at work, and let me tell you this Chipotle was the absolute worst. I ordered one of the new chicken burritos, and the dude working was trying to scoop out some old dry ass chicken that was at the bottom of the pan! I was like no can you get some fresh chicken and he looked at me like I spoke a foreign language. Another employee asked a co-worker at another station if she had chicken, and she said yes. So, they get my chicken from the other station, and she scoops up a tiny scoop of chicken. I said, "Wow, can I get some more meat than that teaspoon you just put on there, please. She said, " So you want double meat?" I said,"Not really, I just want enough meat to make it an actual chicken burrito!" They literally sprinkled on the chicken like seasoning! Then she got an attitude and acted like I was being irrational or something. When did Chipotle get so cheap with their portions? If it's that bad, they should probably just close their doors for good. I am not sure if it was just this store or not, but I am done with Chipotle. A chicken burrito should actually have some chicken in it and not at twice the cost, and since when did having a funky ass attitude become a part of good customer service, just saying. Never...
Read moreIt's obvious to me that the staff at this new location is working hard to get accustomed to the 'Chipotle' way of doing things. Every time I'm in there the staff is hard at work teaching the newer staff how to run things. I'm happy to see this and I'm very happy with the service I get. Whether you're trained or not, you cant beat good service. I don't mind taking an extra second so a new staff member can learn how to ring me up or roll my burrito. I commend Chipotle on doing a great job training their new staff.
Something I'm exceptionally proud of is that I recently ordered online. There was a minor mistake with my online order. When I contacted the restaurant, Kitchen Manager, Mike Vue, was happy to share why the incident occurred. He also asked me to come back in and offerred me a free lunch for the inconvenience. I came in and shook hands with this great young man, and now I'm an even bigger fan of this restaurant.
I live less than a mile away from here and plan on visiting this Chipotle more often. I hope that they can get adjusted to the training and be on par with other fast...
