Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Champlin

Last night was our first time here in ages, and I have to say, I wish this location was closer because our experience was fantastic! From the moment we walked in we felt like the employees were very happy we came in. The man who took our order was so very kind and didn't rush us at all. (Sometimes when you have an autistic child people aren't always so compassionate, in our experience, so this meant so much to me!)

The food we had was hot, fresh and a million times better than locations closer to us. Even though there was a long line at the drive thru, we were served very fast, which was really nice! The ice cream was cold and perfect... it was extremely hot yesterday so it was awesome that it wasn't all melty by the time we got it.

The store is a little dated decor wise, but that doesn't matter to me, it's the service and provisions that will keep me coming back, and this location checked all the boxes! Friendly staff, wonderful food, and it was very clean as well. We will for sure be back when we're in the area again. Stopped in for really late lunch/early dinner. Not so busy, short wait. Counter person was very polite and friendly. He did give suggestions for upgrades that are added to the meal price without advising that would happen. I don't usually eat at DQ, so I was unaware of the upcharge. Not particularly a big deal in my case, just would have been nice to know upfront. The restaurant was very clean. I saw people come out to wipe things down. Our food came quickly. They walk it out to your table. They have an all you want to drink option for sodas. I had the $5 3 chicken strip meal with onion rings and a Coke. This option also includes a sundae or blizzard also. I opted to get this later, I got a "coupon" for this that can be redeemed anytime in the future. Small strips, good amount of onion rings. Dipping sauce comes with this, many choices. My husband had 2 double cheeseburgers for $5 and a chocolate shake. The food was fresh and hot, well done. I would probably stop in again. Plenty of onsite parking including handicap parking close to doors. Easy...

I don't even know where to begin this place is God awful. I ordered a chocolate extreme blizzard and it was awful it wasn't mixed at all I can see the chocolate mixed in a little bit other wise it was mostly white. The brownie prices where all at the bottom and there was no chocolate flakes at all. I can tell by sitting and waiting that they don't communicate at all witch in turn makes them very slow. In addition the restaurant is filthy there was dirt and you can see dust hanging from the grease. I also got a strawberry blizzard for my mom and she said that there was barely any strawberries in it at all and wasn't mixed well. I would not recommend ever going here I know for a fact that I will never go here again. There bosses are horrible if they let this happen...
