I visited the food court at the Costco located at 595 S Galleria Way in Chandler, Arizona. Let’s start with the bad. There is only one register operated by Costco staff and it only accepts cash. I prefer to use my Costco Visa because of the cash back benefit. For Costco members using credit cards, the only way to order is by using the self-service touch screen kiosk. Studies have found that self-serve kiosks are often contaminated with fecal bacteria as well as Staphylococcus, Listeria, Klebsiella, Proteus and Enterobacter, so I truly prefer not to use them when given a choice. Seating for the food court was pretty crowded because the tables are arranged close to the other tables, making it difficult to maneuver a shopping cart in the seating area. Now for the good. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza and a drink. These two items used to be sold as a combo for $1.99 + tax, but Costco has separated them, bringing the total including tax to $3.01, which is still not bad. So waited for 30 min and again asked if pizza was ready. Then it turned out that pizza was ready I'm shell while time, so I asked how I knew when pizza is ready. Then this lady said "we called multiple times" that's a fat lie. We were standing next to the cashier. Anyway, we need to make huge efforts to get a shopping...
Read moreHad to leave a review because I had an outstanding WOW moment of customer service provided by a young man named Travis in the food court. He was so helpful and kind to me, truly went above and beyond helping me with a frustrating situation I was facing. I was in a Karen mood too and had every intention of speaking to a manager, but my interaction Travis turned my whole mood around almost instantly and there was no longer a need to involve a manager. He was knowledgeable and genuinely empathetic to my situation. So thank you Costco for hiring people that still care about...
